Regular bed best wood ?
Do you have tested which bed material (wood) give best bonus to resident jobs.
Which one is better ?

Cherry blosom - Quality+*bed/healing*+beauty
Mahagony - Quality+price

(i am using cotton for fabric so *bed/healing* is quite irrellevant)

Thank you! :cleancake:

Cherry Blossom inherently has the highest Quality of all wood (unless you count the golden wood you can get in the casino as "wood") so it should be more effective with the same Comfort stat.

Thank you :steamthis: :ghsmile:
Price is irrelevant to residents.
What you want is Quality+Bed/Healing, both of those have an effect on residents.
I'm not entirely sure what coefficients for both of them are, but you could theoretically rise either through another resource for bed (like Futon uses decency that has quality of 9 so it can inherit up to that if you have enough skill+recipe levels while getting healing from cotton).
So either you use Cherry blossom as universal solution, or you use two specialized solutions like wood with high quality and cotton for bed/healing. (I'm not yet at the level where I tested if it'll be better though).
There's also a useful mod if you want to be sure:

All other traits equal then the inherent quality a material has will determine if its a better bed. You should try other stuff than regular wood. How do you get them? Make statues at a sculptors table and dismantle them into logs. Gold should be the easiest to get that has better quality than any wood. You can get gold logs from the casino and gold ingots/cut stone from the thieves guild.

If you want the BEST and easiest bed, wish for a Kings Bed and then use CAPACITY wrenches on it which is sold by Miral south of Noyel. The added benefit is your settlement should rocket up in value, granting you passive income, AND they will have the best possible output.

You need to get Carpentry to 60, level up the recipe, then farm max bonuses for all of its crafting components

King's bed - Ingot ,16 Texture ,20 Gem ,12 Crown ,2 Noble Bear

Diamond, pick highest COMFORT "lvl 7" affix textile you've ranched, gems crown and bear. You need to rank up the skill to get higher max values.

You could also do it for the futon, though that needs wrenches too . . . it needs to roll as HEAVENLY, so get your skill waaaaaay above the minimum required. ;-;

Is a wished king's bed enough to get a farmer to +3 farming/gardening?

The cheapest option is just run to MIFU/NEFU and look for the rubyness futon inside the mayor/secretary hut southwest of the map. It only sleeps 1 person though. I've stolen a couple.......

MATERIAL page on the wiki outlines quality and other stat implications, rest efficiency is tied to quality. Gold is not the best, as per your older comment. The benefit of using gold if you ranched a GOLD PUTIT is the passive income associated with its value. ;-;

Diamond made into statues can be turned into wood.

You can dismantle Kings beds in major towns to get the ultra rare primary material on town resets.

Never said it was the best, just the easiest that is better than wood. The best wood is only 20 while gold is at 34.

I guess stealing that futon might be easier but returning every month for a reset sounds like a pain. You can mass gold easier to make more beds. Although gold beds are a pain in themselves because they weight a lot.

My 3rd base is always on the right side of the map near Mifu. It's only as painful as you allow it to be. :)

Teleporters allow instant travel and are very much worth the gold bars.
Look into using player settlements via moongates and use it to find furniture npcs that has the correct beds stock at first encounter. Then every time tou enter the map it's always reset to that state.

You can't steal on those maps but you can destroy stuff to get materials.

Some of em even have easy to access altars lol.
