Any type of dirt + "Drink" source of water in the grindstone creates clay, which fired in a Kiln creates bricks.

Source of water can be any potions you harvested mass from derelict nefia. It could also just be a hoard of potions/ soft drinks/ jars of liquid sitting in your chest from doing lots of nefia in general. You don't need a lot of them to make 1 of every item, but if you want to do a niche build the best bet is just to buy maps and speed run dungeons skipping mining and only picking up whats visible since potions arent as common in chests as opposed to laying on the ground

Be careful to not use "potion of water" because that can be put into a shrine to make blessed water just as the holy well in Noyel. Also be careful of selling the higher end healing/love/mutation potions they can fetch for 100s and aren't cheap to farm.

Another option to obtain clay would be to create bone powder by processing bone within a millstone. Then take bone powder and a pile of soil and turn it into clay.

Depending on your situation, this is may be easier and/or allow you to conserve your supply of bottled liquids for other purposes.

As a side note, you can also use bone powder, crim powder, api nut powder in place of ingredients of type "dough". NOTE - It does not however, substitute for ingredients that are "sack of ____ dough".

I dunno if it counts as "scavenging garbage" but you can go to a Machinarium-type Nefia and just tear down all the walls, since they're made of Copper Scrap.

Or using a Shovel on the floors, since they're also made of Copper Scrap.
And the conveyor belts can also be dug up, and they're made of Chromite Scrap.

you can also Gain "Scrap" by Hammering Junk "Can's" your Resident Citizen on your land Throw on the Ground, fore an early Game Souse of "Scrap".

else it is Going to Neffia's dismantling Traps or Scavenging Electronics, or the Factory/Machine type Neffia's Wall's and Flores you can Dig/Mine out.

If you make a bolt at the blacksmith table out of ingots you can dismantle it for scrap.
