Where to someting to make a pick axe so I can mine copper?

I already have a pick axe made with 36 harndess? but still cant mine copper or the walls of the dungeon.

find basalt and mine those, its the black rock, make pick axe and hammer out of it or look at junk shop find something made out of steel or something harder, hammer them

Basalt (black rocks) and Diorite (teal rocks) are both hard enough to mine Big Copper Rocks (but not Copper Ore in walls) without any assistance from the Mining skill. Increasing the Mining skill effectively increases your pick's Hardness by 1.5 per level.

I found the Diorite .. but its "impossible to mine".. never seen basalt..
Any hints where I can find stuff I can actually use or get..

Try brown mountain tiles.
There are a lot of them to the west of Olvina.
Also, be on the lookout for "stone" gathering nodes, not the big cube-looking walls of rock.
They should be able to be gathered using your starting Iron Woodcutter's Axe.
Sometimes they might produce Junk Stone, but not always.
