I think stat potential is 80 by default, so hover over your stats and see what it says your base potential is.
Ahh, the MAG increase probably due to one of the mushroom that I cooked with it.
So the potency increase will be permanent then ? Maybe shown as 'base potential 81' or something along the lines and not wane over like potential from training and food ?
Though if it really is just +1 or at max +50 increase, I don't think its that useful to lose sleep over. Even if its permanent. I have about 300-500 potential just from eating good while casually building my bases.
EDIT: And yeah, the change is to your base, not the additional potential granted by eating foods marked with [STAT] potency. That's separate. Also, while you're right that the bonus isn't necessarily that much when measured against the hundreds of additional (temporary) potential gotten by eating good foods, a 62.5% increase from your baseline growth potential at maximum ADAM isn't exactly chump change, either. It adds up.

Even my CHA is now 115 from being a Yerles/Pianist.
Considering the wiki says the maximum number of meat I can eat is 50, and as base potential cant grow over 130, do you reckon the next meat I eat will be 20% less effective and only give 4 potential and then the next is 3,2, then the next is 2,56 and so on ?
True, although it add with your temporary potential regardless. It's also way more usefull for a chaos shape, as the first 10 meats also increase life and speed in order to compensate the maluses for the first 10 additional body parts
