Does your character no longer automatically use their sleeping bag?

I have noticed that when I just use the "rest" button my character only regenerates about 17 stamina. This is with 3 levels in deep sleeper and a sleeping bag.

But when I go to my base and select the exact same sleeping bag that is already on the ground I get full stamina recovery (64 stamina).

Has this changed? I don't recall having to manually place my bed on the ground before using it when I played a week or two ago.

The default button for sleeping + using a bed in your inventory is "f5".

Using rest while tired or sleepy has you sleep without your bed.
