Well, yes. You can talk to NPCs in other towns. If they like you enought, you will be able to recruit them.

You can recruit just about anyone you can talk to, you would just need to get their affinity to 75 (Respected) or higher.

Or, you can get an appropriate level of Monster Ball, hurt them down to about 10% HP, and capture them.

And you can also head to somewhere that has a Slave Master, like Derphy, and see if they're selling a Farmer.

And finally, though it sounds weird, you can turn Farmers into Livestock and hope they lay fertilized eggs to create more Farmers that way.

I can think of one thing that needs mentioning: to recruit someone via affinity, you need to have Charisma of at least their highest attribute level.
Charisma is real easy to train though. Gain access to Negotiation and then talk to everyone you see and spam "Let's Talk" until they get bored. Get Animal Lover so you can do that with animals too.

Recruit them from Quest Board using Gold Bars.

Got to Yowyn or any other city with a farmer, talk to them to learn their favorite foods and then get their affinity to 75 to enable "come live with me."

*next 2 most reliable*

craft jewelry/Hoard ENGAGEMENT RING/AMULETS and just get them to around 25 affinity then gift them one engagement item.

Gift 2 engagement items back to back to immediately unlock the option to recruit them.

Slave recruiter

Monster ball method is applicable but a big waste of time unless you want to attack townsfolk. Monster balls are extremely expensive and rare.

Love potion is the other reliable way to get farmer eggs, but the FERTILIZED variation is extremely rare. I only see them about once every 40 to 50 eggs? Their egg percentage chance is so low it just makes more sense to craft an engagement item instead of spending 1000s on love potions.

Keep in mind everything above can be save/load scummed, so if you aren't playing OATH . . . . it can be easier or harder depending on where you are in the game.

My quota seems like one fertilzed egg for 20-25 eggs.

If you're a Succubus, you can use the Dream Larva skill on yourself to get an item, which can be blended with food to give it the Bug Mix trait. This trait acts the same as the trait that Aphrodisiac gives, so if you gift that food to someone and they eat it they'll gain a large amount of opinion of you, and potentially create milk or lay an egg. You can sometimes find stuff being sold by Rodwyn the Witch in Mysilia that has this trait.

I tried savescumming DRAGON and FARMER eggs last night. I only got 1 fertilized egg after 10 minutes of reloading and never gotten the farmer to produce. Too inconsistent and unreliable.
