Trying to power the base with just jobs is a real pain. Short of the wheel of pain, i dont seem to have any way to get a generator. I'm several years into the game. I got ONE wind generator from a wish, but i ma trying to set yupa small teleporter array and i cant seem to get enough power to the bases combined with my fridge short of getting wa wholebunch of power only npc...

I went out and learned the recipe to make my own generator, which takes some effort, but it's probably the most convenient in the long run.
You can make one generator yourself and then have Kettle slowly duplicate one every month.
Though it costs almost 50k to buy a copy from him. At least that's how much it cost me for the one I made out of plastic.

Though unless you get the recipe for it from a Nefia, or something, it takes level 35 Blacksmith to be able to learn it by dismantling a Generator you find in towns.

Otherwise, power-producing NPCs is the best band-aid solution for now.
Keep an eye out for Exercise, Meditation, Personal Pleasure, and Smoking Job/Hobby NPCs.
And make sure they have the best beds you can give them.
It could make the difference between, like, Level 3 Power Generation and Level 5 if you're lucky.

breaking town generators for the recipe is the way to go

I am a very power hungry user

my main base has its own little powerstation lmao
something like 20 generators stacked on a wall

besides custom generators can be made more expensive with traits so they are even better for the home ranking considering how good they normally already are

i assume you already have the free generator from the truce ground

unfortunately the easiest way is to wish for it.
use furniture ticket if you able to withstand the pain to do it
craft it yourself which is currently my longstanding dream

Snowmen generators can be wished for in larger numbers than a regular generator, wind mill, or drain. My last wish gave me 4 and at the time I only had 5 sativa. That is what you should wish for until your blacksmithing is 30+ which will allow you to learn the recipe.

Keep in mind that this is still Early Access and it is likely that skill EXP and other things will be tuned closer to 1.0

If you don't want to grind out the exp to hit mid 30's to begin crafting them, there are exp mods already on the workshop.

Seven League Boots and Generators are the first wishes you should ever do, because the power generation is so crucial to mid and late game facilities/base building.

I'm surprised to see so many people able to wish.
I have, ironically, had NO luck coming across any statues of luck.
Let alone enough to have found multiple to get the black cat saliva!
I even ran around with a detector looking for statues for a good while...
Even in those level 40+ Nefia I had to run to get the Mana Crystals for crafting the Generator.
I'm a bit envious.

I dunno, but I wasn’t getting many statues until I raised my luck stat. This could be it? Or you just have bad rng?

Kumiromi statue is rarest statue from my experiences. I encountered it a total of 2 times in 400 hours
Luck/Ehekatl is fairly common

Unironically if you are super early game and don't need generators or found/wished for 7 League Boots . . . getting the passive income for your base from the statue might be a thing.....

Yeah I've fished up two in my Meadows base, one is used the other is not because I realized I'd rather have the government income than another wish right now since I just recently got the generator from Truce Grounds.

At least now I know where my first golden material hammer is going to get used

theres a mod that gives you a notification if there is a statue on your nefia floor (among other settings)

edit: found it while the mod is called more statues you can leave the default spawn rate intact and just use it for notification of shrine, chest, big daddy and statue spawns

Detectors will do the in game equivalent for you, you can set them to look for shrine, statues, etc. Of course by then your blacksmithing is quite high probably

theres a chance to get a wish from drinking out of wells too- but make sure you have cure mutation potions as well
