How to build

Okay i must be suffering dumb brain here, how do i build a solid walled building?

i'm trying to make a 2x2 grass hut just to get a bed it, and have until i can make something nicer. but no matter what i do for some reason it won't let me build a wall on the last tile. it vaguely feels like you can't have 2 walls on 1 tile, which creates this extremely weird limiting issue. i've tried to place this last corner tearing down most grass in my viewable area just to get leaves to build grass walls and just cannot figure this out.

i think i'm on like day 5 just trying to build this.

Hold a wall in your hand and target the wall.
It'll let you reorient the wall.
It can be used to make T-junctions and whatnot, but in your case you can use it to make the corner connect like you want.

yeah i highlight it on the block, and no highlight comes up, even if i try to rotate, if i try to place it on the block next to the open area, i can only rotate it to be on the right or on the bottom. i can't rotate it to be on the top or left like i would need for a bottom right corner.

You don't use the Rotate button (middle click).
Use the place button (right-click) instead, on the corner you're trying to connect.

-.- i only know how to hit r 1 way. how do i hit it in another way so the wall isn't facing right or down?

I dunno, it should just work like I said.
Hold a wall in your hand and right-click an already placed wall to change how it's connecting to adjacent walls.

If the one you're right clicking isn't doing what you want, try clicking one of the walls next to it?

Basically when you put down three walls that makes a corner tile you might have that little gap so what you do is hold another wall and target the corner wall and it'll give you an option to right click to alter the way the corner piece looks.

okay that is my bad, missread that post as "you don't know how to use the rotate button"

thats... honestly thats a little obtuse but now that i know it, its not as bad. wish i could see this before putting the wall down, not put it down, and need to have another one of the walls to edit it. not the end of the world, but is a little annoying.

Once you get build mode unlocked properly at hearthstone level 5 manually placing things becomes irrelevant.

I just wanted to write that it helped me. In the game it is not very intuitive.
I'm playing the demo and I'm having a hard time getting into the game.
