Her HP is too low. You can't ride her effectively. If you Host her, she won't get any benefits from her high speed because she'll be using your speed instead. That means you're only option is to leave her out and vulnerable, where she can die instantly due to her extremely low HP. She also doesn't have any abilities (eg heal, taunt etc) so she doesn't fill any particular role in your team other than being fast.
There are several god pets who can easily do more damage. Particularly the black angel, exile, and android as all three attack multiple times in a single action.
Just spend the time to fix her HP then. A character having a single bad stat doesn't mean they're bad. Speed is the best stat in the game and her having some of the highest base speed in the game makes investing in her to make her good much more worthwhile. Also from my experience high damage reduction is much more valuable then raw HP which is just an equipment issue.
And yet the raw speed makes up for it. Increase her endurance stat with food and while she won't be a tank who cares? The speed allows her to outpace almost anything else in the game.
Also if we're talking equipment HP is 100x easier to get then speed is. We're talking a relatively mid-late game setup where you should easily be able to get a few pieces of equipment with 10+ endurance on them and suddenly she has 200-300hp. That combined with some decent endurance food to feed her and she'll be just as tanky as anyone else outside of purely dedicated tanks.
Edit: She also has the benefit of having a human's equipment and not an animal like the T-Rex allowing for more optimized builds.
Another issue with the cat sister is she doesn't have any abilities which means you need heavy investment to even see a fraction of the power that a monster captured from the void has. A good example is this redditor's metal slime ->
https://old.reddit.com/r/ElinsInn/comments/1h8a3uj/my_metal_slime_lol_i_still_need_limb_genes_that/
How many thousands of hours would you have to spend powering up a newly created younger cat sister to even match this? Just be real here, those 85 medals are better spent elsewhere.
I mean most of the current medal rewards fall into one of two categories for me. Wholely not worth it (most of the artifacts even if I have collected them for completionists sake) or one time purchases (like the storage cooler upgrade which is arguably not worthwhile to get in the first place). Unless you're truly a hoarder you don't need that much space in your storage unit even for multiple towns.
So what are you realistically spending the medals on? Ether Anti-bodies are easier to get from the casino, bed upgrades as far as I can tell are pretty not worthwhile, is there really a use to upgrading normal containers? The only thing I can think of to purchase multiple of that aren't storage container upgrades is the storage containers themselves which are only 20 medals. Now I tend to do a lot of fishing so maybe I just have an abundance of medals but they really aren't that scarce of a resource.
I would just ask why hold onto medals for rewards that *might* be coming in the future? By the time those rewards are in the game you might have thousands of the things saved by that point.
See the metal slime posted above, that thing probably has single digit HP, but is still being used in end game content, supposedly. Though the OP in that thread seems to think DV is protecting said slime from explosions, which has me scratching my head a bit as to how they got to that point in the game.
Also, ya, there's not much else to spend medals on. The gear options aren't special compared to normal loot drops. The storage stuff just doesn't make any sense unfortunately. For a trivial resource cost you can make a wall of dozens of chests filtered to specific items to auto dump into, the size of individual chests isn't an issue when you can just stack more chests on top of each other instead.
A tiny minority of players have likely gotten that far. A few hundred hours are probably spent by most people in just the early-mid game grind. And considering that fact there is time to train companions to some pretty high levels if done right.
Edit: Considering that the only requirement for getting the cat sister is medals (which can technically be done right at the start of the game) it makes sense that it's not the best pet in the game right off the bat. Otherwise the meta would just revolve around fishing for a couple hours, get cat sister, win game.
This thread isn't about you. The fact that you are hundreds of hours into a game and don't want to level up a new follower really isn't relevant. Any follower can be turned into a beefy OP powerhouse through breeding, genes, and food, some have a headstart in one area or another, and eventually which ones you use largely comes down to personal preference and RP.
The point is, the other medal rewards aren't good, and you can get 85 medals early game through various means at which point this follower is a completely reasonable choice to purchase.
Honestly considering that you can get 85 medals in like 2-3 hours of fishing starting from level 1 the cat sister is probably one of the single best companions in the game if you account for the stage of game you can get them at.
Obviously some other pets are going to cap out harder or have abilities the cat sister just can't get but many of them come much later into the game then the cat sister. 280 speed is an insane base speed regardless.
getting a bunch of younger cat sisters into your ranch is great.
Her eggs give the highest amount of charisma. (13 CHA, 6 PER, 5 LEA potency, [Cat])
you just gotta take the small karma penalty for eating cat eggs.
You'll want several though because their breeding egg spawn rate is 1%
