Do you learn skills faster if you have a high learning attribute?
Do you :)

No, how fast you gain EXP is based on the potential of a stat or skill. The higher the potential, the more exp you earn, and when you level up, you lose potential in that stat or skill, but potential can never drop below its base potential.

The learning attribute affects your maximum MP,
it governs these skills: Gathering, Literacy, Appraising, Anatomy, Memorization, Alchemy and Cooking,
and finally, it affects the potency of magic within the "Nerve" domain,

Seriously ????
I built my character around Learning because I think it says 'how fast you learn something' somewhere.

The game is also translated in English from Japanese via ChatGPT.

For the most part, the translation largely works and is correct, but there's instances where it's not.

Unfortunately, Learning is the attribute that does the least things right now. That said, the game is still incomplete so it's probably just that the things the Learning attribute can eventually do just doesn't exist yet.

Think of Learning as Wisdom

It's definitely not Wisdom with the stuff it affects. It's probably more like Knowledge, so stuff you know, but not your ability to learn.

Youre right! I just checked and it doesn't mention 'learns faster' in the tooltip for Learning Skill. The learn faster effect is in the feat for learning, max level gives 30%.

Learning is amazingly useless. Typically you want to level the main attribute higher than the skill so they get a nice exp boost. But for learning, you will outpace the main attribute with every skill and barely get any main attribute experience for doing it.

Learning is actually my lowest attribute will all of it's skills sit at an 60 skill average with the highest being close to 100.

Compared to STR for example where the highest skill level is like 50 and the attribute is at 100 with half of that being from food, half from skill usage.

Learning does increase max mp (that's all it does for your stats) but so do magic and will which are far easier to level through usage and food making learning just a one trick pony that barely goes up.

Learning also boosts nerve damage but nerve inflicts paralysis, so yeah... you use it for the status more than the DPS. It doesn't need to be spammed like ice skills.

Someone I chatted with pointed out that Learning is a main stat of Witches, which leaves me to believe like the Witch class not being finished yet, learning isn't tied to many finished processes yet like alchemy so we can expect to see some more use from it someday.

Ah cool so if i learn will then i get a bonus for the traveling skill? Nice

Well, at least Learning affects the damage of Nerve domain magic.
Since my character's a Pianist, and gets Sound, Mind, and Nerve magic from sleeping, it's marginally useful to have some Learning.
