I learned the appraising skill, how do I use it?

I don't see it as an action in the top right box, where do I go to appraise my own items?

its done automaticly on the item of your inventory

On that note, does the skill level on it's own or will I need to invest more platinum into it?

The skill gains exp from identifying items, investment makes the skill gain exp faster.

It works passively on items in your inventory. The higher your skill, the faster it works.

Basically put ? in your inventory do stuff check again in a few minutes of doing stuff in game it will either be indentified or it will say quality for good you need 20 points in aprasial, anything better then good needs even more... So yeah after a while you see ? stuff say good or maricale quality, and you know to dump it into a box I use non shared incase its cursed box at my base, but if you farm puppy dungeon or something like that you get tons of books, and scrolls that all seem to not be that great of quality.

Never seen a good or higher scroll come out there not sure there is. Same deal with potions. But gear its RNG it might be something you can see, or might be miracle wich I think is like 50+ appraisal but yeah just farming easy floors of dungeons will net you tons of junk to hold on to and get exp for it, just by having it in your pocket till again it says the quality level or flat out what it is. But dumping coins will increase exp gain, but keep it will burn off slowly as you level so you get a ton of fast levels if you invest good then see it slow down and notice the flame next to it died back down.

But yeah that is basically it for appraisal its passive like I just after I get have a box of junk I put it all in my pockets then sleep and by morning its idnitified or I know the quality at least, and dump it back into the box, equip what I want to keep sell the rest of idintified stuff.

Helpfully, when it identifies a scroll or potion that you already have in your inventory, it will automatically move it to the existing stack and save you the hassle.
