Not normally, they just materialize random food out of thin air whenever they get hungry.
Only way I can think they could be starving is either some mod allowing it, or they're getting drunk and vomiting while low on hunger.
Heck, they don't need a dining area at all.
Dining area just grants something like a +5% boost to food's effects.
i was just shocked & saddened when my maid died in front of me due to starvation.
Town citizens just materialise food out of thin air, don't even need a dinning area ( I didn't bother to build one yet In Vernis, so I am 100% sure about that)
And following pet just stop regenerating mana & health ( like you in an exhausted state)
Unless it was changed in the last updates or you have a mod that does allow them to die, it should not happen.
Except you are who wrong. Please, don't spread misinformation
Proof: one of my pet's that walks on foot is in "Starving" state for months; the pet that "parasite" on me in that state for more that an in game YEAR
hmm... i do have a shared chest full of cursed, blessed potions & alcohol maybe thats whats been killing them...
so my maid has been drinking on the JOB! then died because of it WTF?!
(honestly though her actions remind me of my always drunk Nanny...)
Read comments above. They don't starve to death, they vorpit and take lethal damage from being hungry. YES, it's written that they STARVED to death, but it's not what people mean when talk about can NPC die from starvation or not. Common, it's pointless pedantry at this point
