Fishing in your tent - any way to get heavy items out?

I've taken to fishing in my tent to avoid the mayhem of villager deaths. Sometimes I will catch a heavy fish (whale, shark, etc) or a God statue and I'm interested if there is any way to get them out of my tent or profit from them.

So far I've tried putting a delivery box and a shipping box in my tent and neither appear to work. Anything I am missing? I mostly just hammer them at this point.

You could get them out with a death - throw the whale at the exit, pick it up, exit, you'll die, it'll drop outside. That's probably not gonna be profitable though - brewery barrel in the tent is your next best bet.
