How the heck do you get water for holy water?

As I understand, to make holy water, you need a plain old potion of water, which you then bless on your god's altar. I've been searching up and down the world for hours and hours and still haven't found a single potion of water. I've tried salt water, an dirty water, and a bucket of water, and none of those work. I've tried using an empty potion on the pond at my home, and I got a potion of acid resistance instead.

How the heck do you get just plain water?

I haven't seen any dungeon potions that qualified to be blessed.

Using an empty potion on a well gets me a potion of Troll's blood.

Plain water was also rare in the original Elona - it's probably by design. You find an occasional bottle or two in random dungeons, and sometimes magic stores sell them (or at least they should) if you invest money into them.

plain water is rare by design, as you can turn it to holy water pretty easily, which allow you to turn anything into blessed items

You can get water from wells, but it's kinda random. definitely buy any water you see in stores. It's cheap and incredibly usefull.

In elona +, there was a craft to turn salt water to water, so it might be possible there with all thoses crafting stations.

If you need empty potion bottles for the water, you can mix snow and leaves in the grinder to get empty potion bottles.

That's the thing. I have empty potion bottles, but nowhere to get water.

There's a second well in Noyel, called a Holy well. It's near the church. It does things differently to regular well... Such as always increasing stat potential when drinking, and filling empty potion bottles with Blessed Water.

You can get a Resident with Bathing hobby and give them a good quality bed and they'll give you pots of gamer boy/girl bath water you can bless. Get whip of love from Farris and whip the taste out of their spine till they roll it via savescumming if you must. I generally never run out of blessed water just from Noyel well.

No, that's for moving water around. Make yourself a hot spring.

you can get blessed water from the holy well near the church in noyel with an empty potion bottle. Using an empty potion bottle on any other well will give you a random unidentified potion

How the heck do you get just plain water?

There are two "reliable" ways of getting clean potions of water.

1. Shrine of Thing shrines will always give a single water bottle.

2. The holy well in Noyel in the south east portion of the map near the church. This one is probably the only way to consistently get water (this water will default to being blessed as well).
