Can't remove mutations.

So I drank water and got a mutation, but no idea how to cure them. using rhe potion of cure mutation yiled "Nothing seems to happen..." What am I missing here?
I'm at a point where those mutations heavily impede my adventuring and really need to get rid of them.

1. check if it is ether disease
2. if not, try use a blessed potion, that always remove a bad mutation

Could have sworn I cured the nether disease I had from the tutorial... How do you cure them without the potion you get sent?
