Building Tinker's Table

Can anyone help me with how to build the tinker's table. I need a nail, to build the table, which is a requirement of the Tinker's Table. But according to the wiki, in order to build a nail, you need the Tinker's Table. Is there any other way to get a nail or somewhere I can buy it (I've checked the blacksmith and most of the traders to no avail). Thanks in advance for any advice!

There are different tables and chairs you can build that don't require nails. See the tabs in the craft menus.
