Getting my ass kicked in the puppy dungeon.
I built myself a house, crafted a wooden club, some shoes and a bucket to protect my head with and when I then went into the puppy dungeon I got my ass kicked so bad. I assume I need stronger equipment and higher stats but how do I get those?

After 1 week of in-game time one of the starting NPC's will ask you a question and give you an item according to your answer. If you tell them "I want to explore nefia" they'll give you a ring which gives +10 to your PV, which is around the equivalent armor value to an iron/steel breastplate.

Alternatively, try to aim for a mason's table. Go exploring in the forests/fields near your base to collect a bunch of granite rocks. Make a stonecutter, and make a bunch of stone blocks. Make a mason's table, which will then allow you to make stone weapons (a decent upgrade from wood weapons) and some stone armor pieces, notably a chest piece and girdle.

On the topic of material collecting, some general advice is to explore different tilesets. For example, palulu trees only grow on beaches and are how you acquire big leaves. Different tilesets have their own unique features so it's a good idea to go out and explore them if you feel like you're at a wall progression-wise.

Humans like mercenaries/gangsters and etc will blast you
But for eyes use ranged weapons and for super high defence things like hermit crabs use magic or weapons that penetrate PV.
Sometimes you just lose to RNG and you're ambushed by a million enemies at the stares, can always do something else until it resets.
Attributes on foods will help you level those stats and related skills. It should work the same way as elona if you look into potential and etc
otherwise levels skills with related attributes will increase the attribute as well

Don't forget to use the training dummy too to level up your weapon skills.

I need some tips on how to continue lads. I have 10 swords 15 bows, around 20 evasion and 30pv. I'm having little trouble on the first and second floor but as soon as I stumble upon a ghost or a similar enemy, I'm done, Since I don't hit them and they hit like a truck.

What would be the next step? Invest in shops to get even better weapons/armor?
Maybe start farming and cooking to level up my stats?

Some enemies are hard to damage physically, so it may be best to work on some minor spells or invest in rods with spells in them.
you can get mages to move into your city who can attack with spells

ghosts are difficult to kill through physical means, but in my experience they die pretty quickly from magic attacks. Easiest suggestion would be to learn some magic and use some basic spells like dart/touch spell spam to kill them. If you get your hands on a caligraphy set, you can combine certain spell tomes with a weapon to give it the ability to cast that spell when you attack. This method has limited uses per spell tome but consumes no mp, which may be helpful in your case as it sounds like you're not progressing your magic stats much.

Also note you don't necessarily need to kill every enemy. Ghosts in particular are nasty to fight in melee as they can temporarily drain stats until you drink a restore potion or go to a healer. Running away from them/teleporting away is a perfectly sensible strategy early on when you have fewer tools for dealing with ghosts.

Make weapons/armor and train on the dummy for example! or loot stuff in dungeon run away repeat, or do quest for towns
