Doomed Cursed weapon, game salvageable?

I found a doomed cursed weapon and didn't understand the cursed mechanic.

I've attempted 12 rod charges and 3 scrolls and cannot remove the curse. Grabbed the perk that (I have no idea how its triggered) "sometimes" removes curse effects. I cannot get this weapon to decurse or remove it. I'm currently skill 22 with it and most damage I can do to a dummy is 2 damage. I can't leave my tile at this point without removing this weapon. Help?

Would be nice if you specified which rod and scrolls you used.
I had 2 doomed and 1 cursed things on me, went to closest town and bought scrolls of uncurse from healer. 2 of them was enough to remove doom and curse from all equipment.

What does doom and curse items do exactly? I know curse makes it so you can't remove them but is it the same for doom?

how can i uncurse a companion´s equipment. my companion got a cursed hat, but i cant uncurse it with a rod because she doesnt give me the hat

Doomed also make it so you can't uneqquioed.

ok i got it, just use the rod on your companion (maybe multiple times) and the curse gets vanished :)
