How do I assign houses?

People just move into random houses I built, causing me to loose my own house. Can I somehow reassign them? I do know there is a resident board but it doesn't seem to give me that ability.

I don't know if you can assign houses, but you can assign beds to people.

I don't know if there's a nicer way to do this yet, but you can just leave the bed unclaimed. When they claim it, you can just pick it up and move it. It will still be their bed. You can claim the bed in your house as yours as well.

anyone found an easier option? i was thinking of using bunk beds down the line since they can house multiple people but assugning things sounds like a nightmare

You tried all the options from the house and room signs? Have not checked it myself yet in detail.

You could press r on your bed, and under bed option you could make your bed unavilable for residents
