No it is not. The backpack is directly stolen and if they commissioned that, the commissioned artist stole it.
Trust me, I know. I played UO for 25 years and make art and mods for free servers and am very famliiar with the backpack.
Look here:

It's the exact same art, except stretched out awkwardly.
And you think that 2 are the same? Interesting
Lol they are identical. Actually there is a second bag in UO that is different, which is the one used. I screenshotted the other one. But still, clearly the same. I will go find the other one since you wanna be like that.
Ultima Online is a HUGE game owned by EA (Electronic Arts). It has been around since 1997.
The game is still live - so I assume their art is not free for commercial use.
I don't care so much about the bag, it's just, where there is one stolen asset, there are more. Might be worth finding a new commissioned artist or at least questioning this particular image. Maybe it was a placeholder.
And it get's even worse, the skill system is also inspired by UO. I can live with that.
I don't hate a UO inspired game. That's awesome if the dev is a former UO player. UO is still to this day my all time favorite MMO.
I wasn't trying to stir things up - I had not even heard of this game. Splattercat was doing his preview and I immediately noticed the bag.
You say "inspired" but it's a direct edit or copy. I know because I had edited this art many times for free UO servers. It's different when it's commercial :)
I hear this is a great game, or the first was. So it's not hard to just - get a new bag art and avoid getting sued lol. You never know with EA (Electronic Arts)
Also this is a wild and delusional thing to say after just the perceived issue of the bag.
It's from experience. People don't generally borrow one asset and then one off. Otherwise, why borrow it. If all the other art is legit, why would they borronw one? Doesn't make sense.
It is the same bag. There are two bags in Ultima Online. One of them has a taller flap with while the other has a narrow. The image I showed was the taller. The one used in the game is the shorter. I can't find a image online of the other. I will have to install Ultima Online and use UOFiddler which gives access to the game art and I can show the exact bag or nearly identical.
It's clear to me as someone who has edited these bags 100s of times.
At the very least this is an edited (photoshop manip) version of the bag, likely used on a free server. Which would still be considered as illegal use of the art.
I can't find a good image online but here is a screenshot of a video with said bag:

It's just like how people accused Keplerth of stealing Rimworld assets again.
Yeah, that was the point of my post. It's obviously made with various sprites and assets from places.
Again, it's not the same bag as the main bag that I showed. There are alternate bags in UO for other pouches.
This is the one that it is derived from, but this is a bad image, but best one I have for now. Ic an't be bothered ot install UO and UOFiddler to find the actual gump (but I will if i have to)

Well yeah, all my UO edits were done in photoshop using original art. I could then show a PSD as well. This proves nothing. It's obviously an EDIT not an original piece.
