How do I successfully secure a food source?

Ive killed every sheep and animal that I come across and they don't always drop meat. My poor little girl is in a Neverending state of starvation please help save a life.

the tinkering camp has a skill for increasing the probability of corpses fishing is also good for turning rotting food into bait for more fish

and lastly every tile is usually pretty good odds of having a berry bush unless its winter
then I would recommend following one of the roads to a city inn you can rations for cheap in bulk

If you have a fishing rod, you can make bait with bones and go fishing. Once you make the tinkerers table, you can make a shovel and other farming tools to create a farm though im not that far into it yet and dont know how to exactly get seeds or harvest. I picked a cat as my pet and have pretty much ignored it. I don't even know if its eating or not lol. You can also harvest berries from blue and red bushes. If your far enough into the quests you get a cooler from the woman that you can carry around store food in for longer.

There is discount food at the inns, that is what i and my petite murder minion eat. be mindful of what you feed her, and yourself, because food is partly how you level up your stats.

This is all really good advice, thank you guys. I had no idea there was a skill related to the probability of things leaving corpses. Also had a fishing rod, but no idea what to do about the bait till now lolol

you use whatever that attribute is used for. swing a sword -> increase sword and strength. but attributes increase based on potential which can be raised by eating good food
