Where do I find them? I would like to learn the Digging skill from an NPC and it requires platinum coins.

You can get it from finishing requests on the quest board

Board missions and from exquisit dungeon chests you get from the "boss" in the final level

the easiest source would be killing 100 mobs from the tutorial mission, gives 10 plat.
