Diamond or Gold Statues?

which one should i make?

Wiki says the value modifier for Gold (for non-equipment) is 2.97x.
While for Diamond it says it's 3.77x.

So, I suppose Diamond would end up with more valuable statues, leading to more Tourism value.

Yeah but gold also gives "price increase" modifier.

From my experience, it's about the same value. You really need Ether to beat gold it terms of raw value.

Gold looks nicer but you wouldn't want that for base value anyway. Or fish for god statues the blingiest of all.

well, if your diamond stone, someohow, has the price increase modifier, then go for it, it has better base value modifier than gold. Gold's only advantage over diamond really is the modifier after all.

I didn't see a difference with using stone rather than ingot. The benefits of stone, is that you can get 2 per ingot.

Nope, the result is the same when made into a statue.
You end up with a Statue made out of diamond as a material.

How profitable is sculpting? Also is it possible to make more than just enemy statues?

I would say a gold statue is worth 100-800 oren, depending on what kind of statue is crafted. It average at around 200-250 per statue at bad sculpting level, but you get more chance to have valuable ones the more you level up the skill.

You are basically turning a gold cut stone worth 35 oren into something worth at least 3x more.
It takes lots of time to craft though.

You can also use gold to craft more items. use gold to craft an axe and destroy it with hammer --> Gold stone that can be used for crafting furniture with higher value.
Demolish a gold statue to get gold logs, which can be used to craft 'wood' gold furniture that are worth more

As stated above, you can get Gold Cut Stone by trading Karma to mine walls (and floors, don't forget the floors) in the Thieves' Guild.
There's also 6 trees that give Gold Logs in the Fortune Bell main hall (and 2 that give Straw Logs, buncha fakers lol)
