So is it viable to unlock the feat that improves your stats the more unused companion slots you have? In games like these I like to go solo because updating everyone's equipment at all times, feeding them (especially the right stuff) so their stats won't make them useless after a while and so on really doesn't sound like a good time for me. More often than not it's just too much micro management for my taste. On the other hand I feel quite squishy at times so the stat boost would be very much appreciated.

Are the boosts noticeable or are they more in the "Yeah best I can do is you get two more strength and one more endurance. Take it or leave it" ball park?

Sure. You need to unlock the slots too, since it's based on empty slots. If you can only have two party members it's not going to do much.

Its percentage based. If you max the feat, you gain +5% life, mana, speed per empty companion slot, so you'll want the additional party member feat regardless and maximize charisma.

Its viable, but you'll have to manage without a tank in the Void which can get pretty strenuous the deeper you go. With the right race/class mix, you can have enough survivability to make it work long term, but maintaining companions really doesn't take long and is pretty much effortless if you are cooking and farming for your own food anyway.

It's viable but it's not something you'll want to take early game. You'll want to take it when your stats are already bulked up.

When you have as many party slots as possible (+1 from every 10 charisma, up to 5, and then +3 from feats), and then max out the feat (can take it 5 times), it adds up to 40% extra health, mana and speed. This % boost is added after everything else; it's not boosting your base stats. So if you total 200 speed without the feat thanks to gear and other feat boosts, then the feat will make your speed up to 280.

I feel like it's really good to take on fairies. Early on you'll want a mount to prevent dying so easily, but with it and if you have mana body, it makes you so tanky, and lets you move so incredibly fast on the battlefield. Pair the 40% mana boost from the feat with Itzpalt staffs' 40% mana boost and you will have so much mana to tank with.

Lonely Soul is the strongest feat in the game. It's like +40% speed when all is maxed, speed is the most important stat, it is a multiplier on everything you can do, and this feat multiplies any other source of bonus speed you have. The health and mana are nice as well, but the speed is what makes it strong. That said it takes like 7 feat points to max it, and another 5 points I think to increase your party slots up to 8. So it tends to be on the low side of importance to me until later in the game. Even if you plan to use 2-3 followers it's still an extremely worthwhile feat to put points into eventually.

It's 100% viable. +40% HP, MP and speed is an extremely big boon. Also, it doesn't stops you from using allies. It will just reduce the bonus by the amount of allies you take with you.

Finished Nymelle by 3rd month and Reached the void by the end of the first year as a solo Nefu mage, without specially trying to rush. The lone sould perk was my sole feat focus as soon as I got 2 levels in dream waker, then party animal for the additional slots/boost.

It worked out pretty well for me in the end. And the additional HP definitelly saved my arse from a oneshot a lot of times.
