But you can method like use hammer to turn ingot into wood or rock to craft the weapon with the material you want.
at least until noa/löafrontier actually implement a native gear crafting solution that's really your only hope at ever crafting more than a fewe wood/stone pieces.
But ya, currently you can take a metal ingot, turn it into a statue at a sculpting table, then disassemble that statue with a hammer for like a 50% chance at a log of that material. So you can then take that say admantite log and make a "wood weapon" made of admantite.
