R for fast travel and learn to make rations I didn't know there was fast travel at all till I hit R to see if I could get food off my pet on world map and it popped up its like "really? this has been a thing whole time!?" Then I had to check wiki to sort out how to make the travel rations lol. Like I figured that out at I want say hour 52 its like "wow would saved me so much pain up till now..."
Also I love this game feels like your always a newb even the 237 I am not a newb guy got called out on things he thought was correct but turns out were not lol. I feel like I could 300 hours in this one day and still learn something new at 301 hours in that reminds me last 300 hours I did ♥♥♥♥ hard way lol.
But yeah Farris I think it was can make ration maker then R on world map and your travel speed changes so ride a fast mount put on travel boots what ever and the time to get there, and rations needed goes down. I just been running all over on foot cursing wanting to be a Pianest so bad like time I try I rage quit with how bad it is at start, then I find out somehting like that its like "ok this just got way easier now..." Granted means I got do that dungeo still lol. but still come in handy for traveling all over to play musiclol
Every race/class has advantage in certain playstyle, pick one and stick with it.
Game mechanics allow you to do every possible things, but you should only focus on things that you excel at.
Attributes is king, maximize the potential allows you to scale up faster.
Only eat when you hungry and eat food that gives potential to main attributes of your playstyle.
Don't get distracted to waste stamina by literally gathering everything around you, limit to your only objective alone, if you want to craft grass wall do not go chop trees.
Inventory management can become nightmare and you may stuck just to organised them. Let go the stuff you unlikely or barely needed such as seed that you not going to plant anyway.
Go to Tinker camp asap, do 2/3, quest to get tickets and grab hammock by the cat merchant area. This is by far the best item you should get early that double up your stamina after sleep, keep it in you inventory all the time.
Best pet early on is the little girl or can use Loytel, scum or find dead tree to get Putit in Ember, best early weapon for her/him
> Mana battery Ether disease allow you to gain a huge amount of spell charges from the rods you drain
> Force Weapons, such as lightsaber, scale on casting and magic devices instead of weapon skills. Good for mages. good wish item too.
> you can upgrade your cane like any gun or bow with weapon parts sold by the dude in Aquily teola. There are some very good upgrades if you invest in him. Such as double shoot.
> Seven leagues boots tremendously increase travel speed on world map. It's a good item to get from a wish, as they usually only spawn very rarelly in lvl40+ nefias. Also, value of travel speed boost is random, so you might want to save scum it.
> Tools power don't depend of hardness only. Damage multiplier from material plays a big part in the formulae.
> Using sleight of hand on bird nests seems to have a 100% chance to harvest the egg.
> Jewelery can be made from 2 different gems. So if you have a stack of gems with good values multiplier (perl, gold, silver, platinum, emerald...), you can use a good one and trash one in the second slot, and the ring will be worth as much as if two of the best gem were used (only worth it with precious gems, or the ring will be worth less than the two gems separatelly)
> You can turn any metal to stone by crafting an axe and demolishing it. Usefull for crafting with unusual materials such as gold
> You can turn any stone to wood by crafting a statue and demilishing it. Again, usefull for crafting
> you can duplicate any stone or wood materials by demolishing the planks and cut stones ( RNG, as it can fail)
> two slime corpse in grinder = stack of gelatin with the exact same traits. That's a potent seasonning to add to your meals.
> One of the Best targets for pickpockets are the painting. They don't weight a lot and are still worth 450-950 with the stolen good penality. Crowns, standing lamps, rucksacks cargos are quite valuable and easy to steal too.
> Vernis mines' minecarts sells for 400+ oren each. That is, if you can gather and bring them back. But it's a good complement from the gem's value you find inside.
> Little's one flesh (from killing Big Daddies) can be eaten fr a good base potential boost. It stacks up to +50 but the effect gets smaller each time. So it might be a good idea to eat a few at least to get the maximum benefits.
> You can get Rainbow fruit seeds without the pet from Kumiromi by visiting player bases with the moongate. Be sure check in options to have base from other language players to maximize your chance to find a farm ready to harvest. Thoses fruits are worth A LOT and can be processed further as wine to be worth EVEN more. Definitelly worth it.
> Crimberry are worth ♥♥♥♥. Unless you grind two together. Then it becomes crimberry powder that is used as a drug by people, so it's worth much more.
-Skills of high importance to unlock early, ordered by my personal opinion as being the most important in most cases: Cooking (Olvina/Palmia), Appraising and Weightlifting (Tinker's Camp/Noyel), Sculpture (Olvina/Palmia, do it before doing a bunch of Stonecutting), Negotiation (must join Merchant's Guild), Spot Hidden (Derphy), Weaving and Blacksmithing (Olvina/Palmia, do it before doing a bunch of Spinning/Smelting). Two Handed (Port Kapul) is also very important if you aren't using a shield or dual wielding.
-Weightlifting is only trained while Burdened, Burdened!, Overweight, or Squashed. Try to stay Burdened at all times once you learn the skill, unless you really need Speed for a fight.
-Grind Crim with Api instead of other Crim, it still makes Crim Powder but retains your Crim, at the cost of the basically worthless Apis (also the resulting powder is better, though still worth the same)
-Hallucinogenic foods can be eaten right before going to sleep or when on the world map to let the effects wear off without them being relevant.
-Going into combat while Bloated can be dangerous, because you can't use powders or herbs to cure statuses since they're technically food.
-Similarly, if you're in a perfectly safe environment, you can eat Poisoned food without it really being a problem. Be very careful with this as Fairy; poison damage is flat, not percentage, so it will kill you without intervention.
-Holding onto equipment that gives poison immunity or allows eating rotten food can be helpful, even if you don't want it equipped normally. Simply equip it when you're eating the bad food and then remove it after. Same goes for Confusion immunity for traveling on the world map without worrying about storms.
-Rotten Meat and Fish can still be turned into non-rotten Kibble with the Millstone. It'll still have the -2 PER penalty though. The same goes for turning Fish into Bonito Flakes or Soy Sauce.
-Acidproof Liquids don't work like you might think they do. They are used to permanently give a specific item acidproof, not giving you a temporary immunity (as I thought it was).
-You can get Blessed Pots of Water by using Empty Potions on the Holy Well in Noyel, east of Palmia in the snowy area.
-You get far more Ecopos from Junk Stones if you turn them into Pebbles with the Stonecutter first.
-Everything but the Statues (including the altars lol) in Truce Grounds can be thrown into a Trash Bin for ~120 Ecopos. They REALLY should make altars immune to this XD
-You can dig infinite amounts of dirt in one place in Fields (created by the Hoe). Some of the other dirt/sand floors can do this as well (but not the totally barren ground you get from digging up floor).
-Sand dug up from beaches can be turned into Fragments in the Kiln.
-Cheap, useless drinks like Soft Drinks, Salt Water Potions, cheap booze, and low-cost potions like Confusion are good sources of "Potions" to make Clay or Empty Potions with the millstone. The real kings though are Dirty Water that you can collect from Chemicals on the floor in metal Nefia (along with whatever other random potions you don't want that it spits out at you), and Snowballs thrown by children in snowy towns (including winter). Cursed/Blessed is deleted when processing with the Millstone.
-Crafting Bait doesn't care whether it's rotten or not. Also, all crafted bait is made of Processed Food regardless of source material, so you can use it to consolidate your inventory in the field if you need to.
-Fishing Rod material/quality is completely irrelevant to fishing. Make it out of Grass to be lightweight, or out of Carbon to make it fireproof.
-Dig the Mounds on the ground in the Graveyard with a shovel for loot.
-Certain materials can be found in abundance in towns by digging floors or mining walls, if you're willing to take the -1 Karma for each. Of particular note, you can get Gold Cut Stones from both the walls and floor in the Thieves Guild vault. The Treasures, Piles of Coins, and Safes (once you've emptied them) can also be dismantled for Gold Ingots.
-Stone Nefia can be used for abundant Granite if you have a good enough pick for the walls. Similarly, metal Nefia can be used to get Scrap (you don't need to be able to mine the copper walls, many of the walls have stuff on them that you can pull down with the starting woodcutting axe)
-You can traverse any amount of water by using items that float, like empty bottles or Palulus. Simply place them on the water and stand on it to catch your breath, then pick it up and move on.
-The oceans freeze and can be freely traversed in the winter. You can enter the region to easily gather Coral, Seaweed, and Salt.
-Throwing is very powerful in the early game. Pretty much everyone is well-served by crafting a Boomerang, and can be further enhanced by going to Mysilia to acquire the Iron Mic in the church. Other options are an Iron Mic in Palmia, a guaranteed Panty in Golden Bell with Sleight of Hand (guarded by landmines, so you need to Levitate over them, Disarm them, or just suicide on one and respawn), or the Panty in one of the Remains in the Graveyard.
-Dig out a floor in the Golden Bell while you're standing on it. For the lulz
-The expiration time for the quests you take is the same as when they expire from the quest board. The one exception is requests to kill a specific species, which is indefinite.
-Quests that have you escort someone or deliver something to another town count as completing in the destination town, giving Influence there, and opinion gain is for the recipient.
-Quests from residents of your lands will count as completing in the location you're currently in if you bring them with you and give them something. Otherwise, the influence gain is for their home location, and randomly-given furniture tickets are for Mysilia.
-Delivery quests do not actually have to deliver the specific item that you are given at the start. It just needs to match the criteria, like Acquisition quests.
-Acquiring/delivering Magic Books don't need it to have any more than 1 charge left. Read them!
-Sometimes acquisition quests will ask for something that you can just buy in town, like a Wooden Figure in Olvina, or food that can be carried by a vendor. For the ones that require random stuff from vendors, look before you take the quest.
-Sometimes it will ask for something that you can get from the town using furniture tickets. If it's only one ticket then it's basically just free Orens, Karma, and Fame.
-Acquisition and delivery quests will take stolen, cursed, and rotten items without complaint.
-Harvest quests can be given Fruits and Vegetables that you didn't harvest in the location.
-If you have food from a Harvest quest in your inventory upon successfully completing it, it will be seized and you will lose Karma. This also applies to applicable Fruits and Vegetables that you brought in yourself (so Imos, Grapes, Cabbages, Radishes, Corn, and Tomatoes). Failing the quest by running out of time or running away will let you keep the stuff, but offering the stolen crops to Kumiromi will lose you more Karma.
-There are no consequences for stealing seeds with a Sickle in Harvest quests.
Plat specifically, you mean? Or some other currency.
There are ways to solve this later so don't feel too bad if they slap you. You get free death for 90 days. Your pet can be revived at a cost of affinity for free from one of the quest npc if you talk to her.
Lure the enemy near your two quest npcs if it's strong, as they are around level 20. Another neat trick is the quest npcs will follow where the fire is, so you can pick it up and place it closer to the enemy and they will follow you where you place it.
The dog quest can be touch and go because the goal is to get some equipment going. If you want to prep a little make some of the early crafting stations first, then carpenter and sawblade to let you make boomarangs out of wood. They are extremely powerful at level 1. You can equip them as an item and toss them repeatedly. Most early game mobs have to run to hit you so you get free shots off on them as they are moving. You can also give your pet or little girl a boomarang and he/she will multitask throwing it, even the kitten. The AI controlled companions seem to be better at throwing things than we are.
