Cooler box questions

1. I noticed that an item inside cooler box says "(In Cooler Box)" if the box is placed on ground. If the box is it inventory, this doesn't show. So does carrying the box around with me won't refrigerate the food?

2. Does the box keep the food permanently fresh or it only slow down the rotting? If not, is there any item in the late game that keep the food permanently fresh?

The cooler box only slows down the rotting speed, you need a fridge and power for the fridge to keep it permanently fresh.

1) The cooler box still works when carrying

2) Cooler box only slow down the rotting process, it will eventually getting bad when keep it too long, Only the fridge (the big one) and cooler chest will keep the food fresh forever when the electric is running.

Other than that the food within your pet inventory wont rot, so if you have a big stack of food that you cant eat finish before it turn bad it is good to let them hold it.

Yeah I noticed that wonder how long till they fix that though, I give my Little Girl any shrroms I find that won't posion you as emergancy food and put it in the last slot so she eats it last and noticed today they never rot, its like huh... I should start giving her my food too maybe, but she might eat the stuff I want. But yeah does seem they it in order so things in bottom right seem to be last eaten...

I hope they don't fix it. It would be pretty annoying to micro manage feeding all of your allies if their food rotted. Or the game will turn into a horrible jelly and microwave pizza only meta.

What I hope they do is make the NPCs take less. Some of them take three meals at once, and just keep them in their inventory, leaving me food less as I have 3 party members. (Looking at you, Fox Maid)
