Otherwise, it's pretty goofy.
As of now, with the amount of story content we've got, there's really nothing sad going on from the player's perspective. So if someone asks is it sad or not and if it'll worsen their mood, 100% no. The game doesn't even have that vibe.
It's not something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up like, say, Darkwood. That game, on the other hand, is totally depressing and sad in comparison.
General themes the main story/lore covers so far: Self mutilation, being orphaned (graphic), child abuse, genocide, town massacres, fratricide. I might be missing some.
For happy fun games, i like the "my time" series, like my time in portia and my time in sand rock. sand rock is happier than portia.
It feels like a lot of writing in this is trauma dump from the developer and I'm not really feeling it. Sometimes it doesn't make any sense, either.
