How can I transport heavier items

If I buy something heavy, like a moongate or some kind of furniture, how can I get it back to my camp without the weight killing me?

Most of the town has a delivery box that you can put stuff into, the item in it will be mailed to your base later

Shipping it is ideal for long distances, but for shorter distances you can pick up a piece of furniture (or anything really) and throw it to the edge of your radius without hurting yourself. Rinse and repeat until you get the item where you want it!

the exact steps for it if you are in a town
-pick up item (gained squashed status) do not move, you could die instantly depending on the weight, even doing any other action can cause you to die
-grab the heavy item with middle mouse button command
-toss it in the direction of the delivery box, you will repeat this until you get within 1 block of the delivery box
-pick it up again and drop it in the delivery box.
-when you are at your village repeat and place it on the ground where you want

if you are in a dungeon it will be difficult to escape with it. Squashed doesn't let you use return magic/evacuate and overweight has a 50/50 chance to kill you on using stairs or going to overworld.

Depends on the weight, if it's super heavy it's definitely 100%. I died like 12 times getting a god shrine back to my base the other day. Was like 4th floor of a dungeon, 8 or so tiles away on the world map. Died at every stair, died at every tile on the map, but it was a Lulwy shrine so it was worth it.

i think this is more to squashed issue
if in town, do not move, grab the item and throw until it arrive beside a delivery box, deliver to your home.
for the moongate, its the same, tinker camp have delivery box somewhere behind the caravan

if in a nefia, you can change the item weight to lighter material (i.e paper) using paper hammer, but i think it will change its value... so i don't prefer this method
another one is by using blessed flying scroll, but it will only reduce a fraction of its weight
a very heavy item may need multiple scrolls and it is a rare item
reduce the weight until it only cause you to overweight, use return scroll to teleport back to your home
be careful, even overweight status can sometimes kills you if you teleport

if in random generated field, you can use same method in nefia
another way is to use delivery box that you craft yourself, but you need to claim the land first with land deeds. delivery box only works on the land you own

lastly, level up your weightlifting skill, which may take years
