Scrap for Nails
Whats the best way to get the material to make nails? I have been searching for hours and only got enough to make 2 nails.

There's a dungeon layout with walls made of scrap copper and you can mine out all the walls for scrap and turn them into nails.

Yeah the little square castle brownish nefia is made of copper. Bring a trash bin or return scrolls

I saw people said to use bone most of time but i saw that you can collect lot of scrap when mining scrap wall and collect ground debris at castle dungeon in over world map

It's the other way around. Mine scrap walls, make nails, hammer nails to acquire bone

so gain Scrap early game without leaving the base all you need to do is pick up a Empty can and Hammer it fore a Copper Scrap metal's, Residents will eventually leave empty Can's around like they leave Garbage Bag's around.

but remember they are a Resource fore Hammering, to gain otherwise harder stuff to come across easier to find, like Plastic Scrap, and Paper Scraps, that can be turned into Tread's and such.

ive got my dismantaling hammer but it wont work on cans or stuff like that, am i using the wrong hammer? does it need to be at a station? or is my hardness on my hammer not enough?

Sounds like your hardness isn't enough. Once you can spare the materials, get a stronger hammer and you should be good.

pretty much what NoBel said, Canes made of Copper have 34 Hardness, and if you are Unskilled in crafting Skill, then improving the Tool's hardness will help, so any tool exceeding 34 in hardness should work, so look fore Diorite (a green stone) Marble (a white stone) Basalt (a black stone) in the wilderness, through Limestone whit Hardness of 30 might be enof combined whit your Crafting skill to disassemble the Cans, and can be mined from Salt rock formations on the Beech if you don't get Salt instead that is.

There Deo something by that name stone that got like 60 hardness. I think this is strongest stone one can use to make pickaxe
