how do you bless an item?

Find a Blessed Pot of Water, middle click it to bring up the interaction menu, select the "Blend" option and place the item you want to bless in the slot.

THING shrines are your primary source for bottles of waters. Put the bottles of water on the alter of your god to bless them and then blend that blessed bottle of water to your desired item.

They said it, but you need to find a certain shrine out in a dungeon or in an overworld tile.

It's literally called "Shrine [Thing]".
Touching it will spawn in a normal pot of water.
You offer that to your god's altar and it turns into blessed pot of water.

I dont fully recall if pure water is one of the drops, but the one aztec looking ruins has puddles of chemicals...I know i've received various types of water (ie dirty water), but dont remember if you can just potion of water
