Creation Question
Hi there fellow Adventurers!

I got a couple of questions about the Character Creation.

Why are Children so damn Tall? I am kinda often Rolling Children at the size of 190cm+

Why is it, that when I change class, I also suddenly Change DOB, Age, Size, and all other character related things?

Often my character sizes end in the extreme, either I am massively tall, or incredibly short, I think that needs some tweaking.

Does the things that you roll with have any kind of impact? The only thing I notice that, if I pick the same class over and over, I sometimes roll with random HP or Stamina.

Does my alias change anything?

Does my Size and Weight Impact things?

1. Because Elin's random generation has very few checks or flags. You'll also see children-aged characters with elderly portraits for this exact reason.

2. Also because of randomization. Age/DOB/Size don't affect anything anyway.

3. See 1 & 2, genuinely.

4. Starting HP/MP/SP is determined by your race+class combo, I don't think that's randomized. Are you rerolling the same class but picking a different race?

5. No, just how NPCs address you in-game sometimes. Your alias is your "adventurer" name.

6. No impact.

Alright, thanks for clarification, I am just always annoyed that changing my class keeps changing my Sheet as well, I think that needs a fix.

No, so far I am always running a Juere Warrior of Youth Age, But my stats sometimes change, my HP goes from 28-33 and my Stamina swaps between 31-35, Might be a bug too.

As for Race, Human, I did not dare to try anything else yet.

Believe me, I'm annoyed at having lost "Red Gundog" when I had to reroll my Yerles Gunner just as much - the lack of control over your name/features is just an annoyance baseline right now, it may be touched on later. Just not a priority since it don't actually do jack.

I made a few Juere and Hillsfolk Warriors just to test this out. Juere Warriors were consistently at 29HP/18MP/33SP through 5 lots of creation. Hillsfolk were also solidly stuck at 39HP/13MP/37SP through 5 lots of creation.

So I'm not sure what you're running into on that end.

Might have been a mistake at my end then? Or something changed through the Patchnotes?

I mean, im trying Oath of Eternity, so you probably get where I am at, and since this game (seemingly) gets patched multiple times a day, it might have been a stat switch or change that I caught upon?

Where are you even seeing your HP/MP/Stamina at character creation?

You can see your base life/mana/speed stat line when hovering over the racial trait feat, but I don't see anywhere you can see what your actual HP/MP/Stamina you end up rolling with is unless you're talking about after making the character and looking at those statistics after the fact.

I just made a bunch of dud characters using Juere and Hillsfolk warriors to test it too and I'm getting the same stats as Shazzamon: 29/18/33 and 39/13/37. For Juere and Hillsfolk respectively.

In regards to ages by the way, some races do age up differently due to differing lifespans as far as lore is concerned. Elea can have children up into the hundreds or as young as 11 as just an example as they can live for multiple centuries - that said, even humans can be "children" in their late 30s, so it's not exactly consistent.

Like I said, might have been a mix-up on my part, or do to patches, I was just noticing it throughout the days of playing the game, currently it is not happening anymore (I made a couple of dud's as well.)

And I am always checking AFTER creating the character, not in the sheet, which is why I was asking about the age/size/weight, because I got confused over it.
Astasia Nov 26, 2024 @ 7:04am
Age/height/weight are all very randomized as mentioned, and have no effect on gameplay as mentioned, but something I will add to that is there are relatively easy ways to adjust all three of those stats in game through consumables. Protein and Catechin will raise and lower your weight, blessed and cursed milk will raise and lower your height, and blessed and cursed hormone potions will lower and raise your age. You can buy most of those from vendors fairly often, though the hormone potions are a bit more uncommon.

If your stats seem low, try going to a healer. Your stats can be reduced by injuries that don't show up on your character sheet

I just want to mention that there are workshop mods that allow you to input your own stuff in there. You can write your own alias, choose your age/height/weight, pick your parents, etc. It is of course purely cosmetic, but rolling for ages when you actually just have an idea in mind kind of sucks. The alias mod in general probably flies under the radar because the page is in Japanese, but it does work.

*Has a good Idea for a small thieving Dagger wielder.*

*Constantly rolls something above 180cm*

I feel that.
