Noob needs help setting up a store.
Can some one guide on how to set up a liquor store. So what I have so far.
1. field with farm sign
2. shared storage box with seeds (mushroom, berry, crim). set on no auto fill
3. Brewing barrel set on share and only accepting mushroom, berry and crim
4. Store space with storage box set on accepting liquor only. Also has for sale sign on it and one garbage bag in it.
5. Policy open for business is active
6. Policy delegated farming is active
7. the storage boxes mentioned above are the only ones I have set to share. All others are set to private

That's my set up so far. If I put liquor in the store box it gets sold. If I plant mushrooms they grow. If I place mushrooms in barrel they make ale. The only problem is that I have to do it.
Why are my citizens not doing any of it? I just started every thing in the current game month left for a few days came back and nothing was done. Am I forgetting something? Also, I know things are getting sold in the store and I can see my money moving up but is there a store ledger I can access to see how many goods sold and for how much? Kinda like the shipping box summery.

I believe you need the "delegated farming policy." It becomes available with other utility policies when your hearth stone reaches lvl 2.

There isn't any container -> different container automation atm.
Delegated Farming will put crops into your Brewery Barrels, but there's nothing in place atm to automate taking the newly made Booze from the Barrels into your sales Container.

If instead of a container you place the booze itself on the ground as furniture and mark THAT with a sales tag, it'll turn into a "Sold Out" tag when it runs out, and if that and the barrels are both in the same zone of a Goods Stock sign, they'll teleport out and replace the Sold Out booze, as its made.

I'd suggest having multiple instances of Booze stacked on each other, each with sales tags.
It'll give more of a buffer for sales to allow the barrels to keep up.

Right now nobody farms my crops. They sit there in the field. I have mushrooms, berry and crim planted. I planted them bc I was waiting for my citizens to do it but they didn't so I planted everything. The berry and crim are not ready but the mushroom only takes a day. So I have been harvesting the mushrooms and replanting. Do the citizens wait until all crops are ready for harvest before harvesting them (so mushroom will not get harvested until crim is ready)?
Also, I noticed the farming sign only has a certain area 5X5 ( i think) that highlights before you place it down. Do I need more than one sign if I have crops that cover more than that highlighted area?
Do I need a citizen with the Farming hobby?

You need more signs, unless you fence in large area. Signs will either affect their default size area OR the entire room if they're place in one.
But, for farming it's probably easier to just use multiple signs.
Only crops inside the area of effect of a farming sign will be affected by the Delegated Farming policy.

And no you don't need Farmers for the Delegated Farming policy.
Heck, you don't need ANY civilians.
Only farming signs and the Delegated Farming policy turned on.

Farmers won't actually do work, they'll just hang around a Farming Sign and LOOK like they're doing work.
They only exist to give passive boosts to the base's "Soil" skill, which increases the Fertility stat of the land, allowing more crops to be planted without worrying about crops crumbling upon harvest.

And as you've seen, the policy won't harvest things immediately as they're ready, there's a delay.
But, you can see it work if you wait around and watch because all the crops will magically just turn back into planted seeds and your shared chest will suddenly have crops placed into it.

If you're at your base, and you see the crops are ready, and you have the time/stamina to do so you should harvest and replant yourself if you're in a hurry for more crops.
Otherwise, just get used to the slightly slower, yet automated, harvesting that occurs with the Delegated Farming policy.

I see so a single sign will cover an entire farm if it has a fence around it. Good to know.

I am going to give it a shot either today or tomorrow. Thank you so much you’ve really helped me out.
