Delegated Farming will put crops into your Brewery Barrels, but there's nothing in place atm to automate taking the newly made Booze from the Barrels into your sales Container.
If instead of a container you place the booze itself on the ground as furniture and mark THAT with a sales tag, it'll turn into a "Sold Out" tag when it runs out, and if that and the barrels are both in the same zone of a Goods Stock sign, they'll teleport out and replace the Sold Out booze, as its made.
I'd suggest having multiple instances of Booze stacked on each other, each with sales tags.
It'll give more of a buffer for sales to allow the barrels to keep up.
Also, I noticed the farming sign only has a certain area 5X5 ( i think) that highlights before you place it down. Do I need more than one sign if I have crops that cover more than that highlighted area?
Do I need a citizen with the Farming hobby?
But, for farming it's probably easier to just use multiple signs.
Only crops inside the area of effect of a farming sign will be affected by the Delegated Farming policy.
And no you don't need Farmers for the Delegated Farming policy.
Heck, you don't need ANY civilians.
Only farming signs and the Delegated Farming policy turned on.
Farmers won't actually do work, they'll just hang around a Farming Sign and LOOK like they're doing work.
They only exist to give passive boosts to the base's "Soil" skill, which increases the Fertility stat of the land, allowing more crops to be planted without worrying about crops crumbling upon harvest.
And as you've seen, the policy won't harvest things immediately as they're ready, there's a delay.
But, you can see it work if you wait around and watch because all the crops will magically just turn back into planted seeds and your shared chest will suddenly have crops placed into it.
If you're at your base, and you see the crops are ready, and you have the time/stamina to do so you should harvest and replant yourself if you're in a hurry for more crops.
Otherwise, just get used to the slightly slower, yet automated, harvesting that occurs with the Delegated Farming policy.
I am going to give it a shot either today or tomorrow. Thank you so much you’ve really helped me out.
