I'm trying to see if it's possible to transform fragments into ore. I recently found mica ore, which I thought was impossible because I had only found it in fragments.
Yes. Use metal ingots to craft statues in the sculpting table, then disassemble the statues with a hammer. You have a chance to get a log of the corresponding material, then you can make a "wood weapon" from those logs.
That is so stupid.. lol
It's just a workaround until real equipment crafting is added, it's also largely pointless because the gear you make now will be unenchanted, but it can be decent for followers/residents.
There are specialized crafting tables for various equipment types in the game, just not craftable by players and with no linked recipes yet. Eventually the gear crafting system will probably be added along with the ability to craft equipment with things like runes/gems to give them enchantments. That system just isn't ready yet, and/or the dev doesn't know how to balance it with loot drops yet.
