What's your most effective method to farm gold bars?

My "best way" is probably the most labour intensive one: Mine all the walls in the puppy cave. It usually took me about 10 minutes to completely clear both floors. I can have over 20 gold bars in one run if I'm very lucky. About 5-6 if I'm unlucky.

Aside from mining in puppy cave, I steal wall paintings and sell them. Usually 2-3 paintings could net you a gold bar.

Developing towns would require tons and tons of gold bars. What's your best method to farm gold bars?

Bonito flake wine.

Delegated farming for mushrooms. Mushrooms to fertilizer, smashed into corpses, made into bait.

Tons of Fishing job residents.

Tens of thousands of orens makes the 20K max oren tax per month (you get lots of bonus gold bars for paying more tax) a non-issue.

Music, performance quests drops bars, if not enough, the gerenous tips could cover the rest.

Paying extra taxes via secretary. Most lazy way possible, but if you can combine it with other methods for extra bars

I use the farming to wine pipeline, predominately. Cheap food like crim berries works well. Mushrooms also have a fast turnaround time.

Vernis mine gems and minecarts. Although the effectiveness will drop the more and more value you ship out of town, you can decide to pay extra taxes for more gold bars. And you can also mine all the walls like puppy cave if you wish so. Probably not the most effective way, but It's good enough if you're not focussing totally on gettng gold bars.

You can also do a world tour of towns and pickpocket all chests. You'll probably get about a hundred bars in total, as there are usually 1-3 in each chest

I like the mining Idea so im going to try that later.
