how to metal into (cut) stone?
does anyone know how to make this? I stumbled upon two bits of cut gold but I don't remember how I got them. Does anyone know?

i get them randomly from diismantle of traps in dungeons

Make an item out of the metal ingots, then use a hammer to break it down. If it doesn't get completely destroyed, it'll drop a metal stone chunk which you can cut into blocks.

youc an also get gold stones by mining the walls of the treasure room in The thieves guild in Derphy (-1 karma per block)
