Please help me I cant complete this quest

I took the "my rare collection" quest where I need to deliver junk to the little girl, i dont know how to deliver it im literally gifting her the junk or starting a dialogue with the junk item in my hand it doesnt work what am i supposed to do i dont understand please help me

Go ask in game guard for help, he/she could guide you to your target. If you still cant finish the quest, it is possible you got the wrong item. For the right item the quest will be listed with a tag (in possession)

but it says bring a junk item, so i had items that were marked as junk with me. and the target is the little girl who is in my home base, when i go to interact with her i can talk to her about the quest but cant deliver anything

In that case it doesnt match, you need to be more specific what junk that is required. Just listed as "junk"?

yes, the quest said to deliver Junk, but come to think of it, it might have been asking for an item named "Junk". not any item categorized as junk, but i dont know if there is such item in the game so it might have confused me

Usually, only food request will ask stuff from certain category (egg meal, meat meal, rice meal, cake), all other cases, it must be sepecifcly the item as name indicated

i understand, the quest has ended now because i couldnt deliver it but this was still really helpful. thank you

same issue, got an NPC wanting "tool", just... "tool"
claiming "tool" was all the rage and now its laying around everywhere
i cant see it though, at this point im convinced the game is bugged or the NPCs are getting into my crim powder.
i tried ctrl+f and found "cotton tool belt" is on the list of items on the map and not in anyone's inventory but it doesnt tell me where. ive hovered over every covered tile and ive gone so far as to dig up every solid wall tile i could.
nothing.

I got asked for bucketx3, i had 3 wooden buckets, but couldn't turn it in...i think the quest dialog has to be changed, or the quests themselves are bugged.

In any case I think I'm about to stop taking these types of quests.

Wooden buckets are different than buckets. One is armor, one is a junk item

If you have the item in the correct town, there will be an icon in the quest log that you can click on to take you to the npc. Also you don't need to take every quest. It is literally impossible to complete them all. It is more productive to take quests that you know you can finish.

Only ever take the quests asking for items if you already have the item or know it is close by, otherwise, you are just asking for a bad time. Also, you can verify the item prior to accepting it, since if it is in your inventory, the quest board will tell you that it is already in your possession before taking the quest.

See, that just seems like quests are poorly done. Like seriously, no way to craft any different type of buckets, but it's giving me this quest, 1 star rating, and wants me to randomly find junk buckets? On top of it, with a limited amount of days to take, i'd have to say it seems like the majority of quests I am getting are like this, and can't be completed. Just feels like the Quest system is poorly designed.

Yeah never take these unless you already have what its looking for, verify this by having it in your inventory since the questboard will tell you that you currently posses the item.
