Help! There's no Puppy in Puppy's cave on level 2!

I've tried 3 times now and it's not there. Can anyone help? Is there a cheat command?

Enemies in the cave can attack the puppy. Since it's rather weak its probably killed before you get there by some random mob. Dying pancake, despite how tragic his username is, has the correct course of action.

When you don't recruit a puppy into the team, the puppy is invincible in 2L, and other monsters cannot kill it, including the bard Faris in the storyline mission, who is also invincible.

When they are not in the team, HP will not be lower than 1. Monsters cannot kill them, but they will move around, which may cause you to not be able to find them.

I also had the issue of no puppy, even after exploring the whole level multiple times. My best guess is maybe it spawned in a hole in the walls or something, I never checked. I just let the map reset, tried again, and it was there that time.

he might be hugging the bottom wall of a room, which might make it hard to see him because he is so small

Good point, I never considered that. Should try mousing along all the bottom tiles as you explore, I suppose.

ya, I got lucky on my first run but the puppy died so I did a new game, three different game's and no puppy I don't get it

I had a puppy appear at my village and i accidentally killed him =(

how long does it take to reset? I also was not finding puppy on level 2. Found a locked hatch, but can't seem to open it.
