I plan to be godless until I reach the +7 to all stats from Eythe that demigod gets then pick Opatos and Horome in that order. I might decide to change Opatos to another god, not sure. I'm now using unarmed and a boomerang. Oh,my first mutution is pretty cool, my hands are dripping poison, which also gives me strong immunity to poison. I should farm for the putit in armour. Little Girl is using claymore and a bow. One of her favorited items are bows so I gifted her one. I'm nearing the end of Nov. in the first year and she just got rid of her bow for a different bow and I'm not sure why.
I'm undecided what industry to try first, they all look fun. I didn't make any farms before winter, will probably do that in the spring. I'm really interested in breeding monsters.
I found some nice obsidian armor at a blacksmith, so I'm not too squishy anymore, and my ice arrow spell is up to 2d17, so I can hit pretty hard with it. I also made myself an onyx cane that does darkness damage and occasionally blinds targets for when I don't want to use up spell stock.
Been going with the fox gods, since they apparently give you fox people as pets, and I gotta have them. Kizuami seems like the less nice of the pair, so I'm going with him first just long enough to nab the fox, then going to have to find the other village and switch to Horome.

edit: wait, I'm learning that these are backer-exclusive player options? That's kinda lame.
On topic, I started as an Elean Farmer (spellcaster) but have been enjoying Chaos Shape Sword Mage a lot. It takes a bit to level up your dedicated weapon type and dual wielding, but you wind up with enormous action economy - and with spell talismans, it's double strike every successful hit.
I started with an adopted little girl companion, got a quest early on to deliver an assault rifle, and decided to keep it instead. So she's been riding on my 6-armed samurai, pelting anything at a distance while he slices and dices whatever gets too close.
Going with Elkath of luck as god, might change for one of the two fox gods (although the swapping penality is over 9000 in this game, so I might not do it)
Interesting to note that Mifus/Nefus have the 'pet' tag due to the tail feat. Which means people coming close by will randomly pet you lmao
You can use backer race and classes such as Mifus/Nefus by activating them in the character creation ( very missable tick case bottom right of the screen.)
So I made a Nefu Pianist, with the tail mod of course, and she's turned out into decent but not overwhelmingly capable spellcaster while the little girl frontlines, loytel shoots arrows from the back, and farris does... whatever she does. A heal here and there and some boomeranging so far from that one. This character went with Horome of Moonshadow, as I figured i'd go all in on the pianist stuff for once, and the spellcasting bonuses are welcome too. She's also had, for my limited experience with the franchise, pretty wild luck in having gotten the seven league boots early on from a delivery quest that was "unfortunately" failed to carry out, and got herself a chance to wish for a vindale cloak so i don't have to worry as much about ether disease.
I'll probably go back to, or recreate, the Hillfolk guy one of these days. Or try something else entirely. Maybe a Succubus Priest or Paladin or something. Or Golem Warrior to just ungabunga with.
LMAO how could you lose something so precious ?! I wonder what happened....
Amazon delivery : "I am sorry sir, when I was on the way, someone stole your package (*That's me*). I guess I'll take the blame for being robbed something that doesn't belong to me and that's it. Please have a good day"
OH that's how you get them. I was worried that only backers had access to them.
I wish I had known that at the start, would've made different character creation choices.

Demigod Witch... took forever to find a weapon so I made good use of the Witch's Throwing skill; pelting things to death with rocks and using magic. Eventually found a melee weapon but throwing skill is too high now, kept throwing rocks. Eventually found an unlimited throw-able slime monster encased in amber and been throwing it around like a Blitzball... and I throw whatever potions I have in a pinch~ blind/confusion pots are pretty OP. Feels like a Chemist class.
Swapped to Elemental god once I found it for the staff and Exile (my fav pet in Elona+) then idk, is Void permanent stat boost when you max it and switch to make it worth? Cuz I liked collecting all the pets in Elona.
Currently following me around as allies are the rescued puppy and a bat, except I turned them into a humanoid dog and bat. Dogboi uses a sword and Batboi uses a handgun... Pretty good anime so far.
Since i had no idea what to expect i created a generalist that should work for anything.
My plan is to praise Ehekatl and get 100+ luck. I assume that double dice rolls on everything should help with just about everything.
Doing fine so far, but didnt know that starter skills get permanently high potential.
Well, i guess im lying a bit, the weapons are good weapons, its just that the weapon bonuses will be disabled if you stop following the weapon's god.
