Tips
1. Putit meat does not rot, if you have 2, grind them in milestone to get 4-5 gelatin (seasoning to make cake) Each gelatin will fully inherit Putit meats's nutirtion. If you put one empowered putit meat and one normal putit meat, you could get up to 5 royal quality gelatin, strong stuff.

2. You could ask adverturers for rumor, by doing so a random dungeon will spawn near (or next to, if you are lucky) the city. Then enter the dungeon and log it into your return magic. Thus a free shortcut between your home and the city. (the dungeon will last few days)

3. Weightlifting will only be trained while you are burdened (and above). By burdening yourself, you will reach lv20 weightlifting skill in a year, significantly increase your carrying capacity

4. dont play mage

And, for those interested in farming, farming is very powerful. Cultivated vege/fruit have very potent nutirtion. A +2 enchanted vege (from +11 seed) will have lv8 nutirtion stat. If you cook 3 of them into stew, you would get a powerful food with lv22 nutirtion.

No reason not to play mage.

Mages have plenty of advantages from buffs/debuffs and effects from damage spells. There's no reason not to pick up the buff spells or heals because you would be doing absolutely nothing with your mana otherwise.

Spells just take awhile before they get good. Once you reach a certain point with spells they become invaluable.

Using magic doesnt mean play mage. Nevertheless, a 5 charge speed tome costs 2000-3000 gold (depends on your skill), and thats around 30-50 cast (depends on your memory) Not to mention the investment to secure a stable supply of tomes, you still need around 500 casts to practice (lv 1 speed magic last 8 turns). And for none mage class all cost would likly be 40% more.

For none mage charater drink potions/scrolls is a significantly cheaper approach. By the time you feel comfortable to cast magic yourself, your character must be very late game

If you start as a mage or acquire casting you can sleep for spells, and really you can get plenty of tomes from dungeons without it.

I am a late game mage, i could send most my foes into oblivion within the matter of turns. But I also know what i have been through

My character is not a mage and has hundred of spells just waiting for when I want to become one. Not starting as a caster will cost you a domain and and probably thousands of free spells before that did not matter. What are you saying was the hard part about being a mage?

You could plan your next charater as mage, you will know

I haven't had any serious issues running a mage, though granted, I do also use some martial arts, and two pets. But for anything fast/armored/strong, I just blast it with magic and it goes down quick. Part of being a mage is knowing what to use and when. Touch spells barely use mana, bolt spells are hungry as hell. You can also use a cane I think they are called? Those use mana to provide ranged attacks, letting you avoid using up spell stock. I managed to make one with two onyx gems I found, and it often blinds enemies, making them even easier to take down.

I absolutely do recommend picking up weightlifting asap and keeping yourself burdened at all times, that is an incredibly useful skill.

Also, always remember to feed your pets good food. They need stat improvements just like you do.

3.1 If you training weighlifting don't take delivery quests.

Just plan accordingly. You only need to be burdened, which doesn't slow you down too much. One-star quests should be fine for the most part.
