how to undo tilled soil?
I've tried using all my available tools, putting grass on the tilled spots (which only places/drops it), and waiting to see if it grows back.

you can buy a Recipe fore the "Flooring workshop" from the NPC (Loytel) that show up during the Tutorial, then craft the variation of Grass you want to patch up the spot.

Edit:
also dig the Tiled Soil.
