How do I increase my survivability?
I seem to have done a bit of a goof. I rolled a fairy thief for my character and have been largely focusing on increasing my evasion and dodge value (DV) - trying to go for an evasion tank type build. I've taken the feats for extra DV and have been focusing on light gear that further increases my DV and luck (plus I worship Ehekatl for even more luck).

So far this has been going great - I hardly ever get hit. The problem is that when I *do* get hit by anything kobold-level or stronger, I pretty much die instantly. I only have 11 max HP and can't wear heavier armour because I'm a fairy, so I'm essentially very evasive but very fragile.

Does anyone know any ways to increase the survivability of this build? How do I raise my HP, and how can I take less damage from attacks - at least enough to not die instantly?

My Fairy thief made it to lvl 7 before I had to abandon it, same issues as you, couldnt take a single hit from hardly anything. It certainly need some more balancing.

In old elona there was essentially a hard cap for dodge. I think it was 100 DV and you reached the 'max'. PV in elin is quite a bit more important. its better to have a mix of both than to only have one very high.

Also, magic never misses, so even if you're a dodge god, a magic arrow will always hit.

there isnt much you can do with a fairy race in terms of HP. Maybe just the vigor perks and if you have a lot of mana, there's a gene that uses mana as hp after you run out of your HP.

Do you think it would be better to just cut my losses and reroll then?

Yesn't. If you can aquire mana body or whatever the feat is that treaps MP as HP, you can essentially make your entire HP/MP pool your health.

If you haven't been training magic skills or stats that boost max MP, or have a way to get mana body in a timely manner, you will struggle quite a bit until you do.

If you still want to be a fairy, I'd suggest a Fairy executioner. They start with mana body. It'll be a struggle early since you'll have low mana, but if you practice spells and get the correct skills, you can stack enough mana to the point were 'health' with your mana will be higher than the average player at your level mid-game. Also executioner gets dark-type bonuses. So technically you'd be a dark fairy casting nerve, cold, and cut spells.

I suggest restarting with a basic race though. Once you get bored or are confident enough you'll know enough to start doing weird things like the ever famous Snail pianist, or abomination warrior with 8 swords, or in your case a fairy watches people bleed out.

you can Gamble by Drinking Water from a "Well" it can give you a Mutation that give you +3PV fore etch level, i have a Free +9PV currently, through getting it whit save scumming is unfortunately the only reliable way to get it.

else you might try and train Endurance type skill's to increase your health.
(like Swimming or Regeneration, lumber-jacking or farming)
(regeneration can be trained whit the "Self Harm" ability, but watch out fore Random Teleportation.)

also do note a Fairy as a Race is usually better whit Spell Casting and might relay on there Allies more to Tank the Hit's of enemies fore you.

by the way the "Little Girl" starting pet have a Taunt Ability, so she can help keep the agro off of you.
