Duel Wielding Halberds as a thief, light armor-evasion and some light casting for those annoying enemies,

I went with Fairy and the Executioner class. I like the high speed I get and option to opt into magic, without being too squishy because of Mana Body feat.

Going for pure wizard permanently boosted by enhancing spells to compensate all the drawbacks. I will focus on 1 magic damage spell and 1 elemental damage for the few ennemies immune to magic damage (either cold or lightning so I can capitalize on the 'wet' effect)

Best choice for that is Elea/wizard (because they halve all mana deprival damage taken) or fairy/wizard... but I decided to try it with one of the new half-foxes races

Currently playing a succubus pianist. Of course charisma is through the roof so the best way to go about it is recruiting followers as quickly as possible, except I didn't do that and slummed it with little girl for awhile. My goal right now is to get both gifts the black cat from Ehekatl (edit: lucky dagger is apparently useless if not actively following her) and then convert to Horome.
Main forms of self-defense are throwing and spells. Mind spells are king due to the charisma scaling, and throwing is decent enough of a backup as my strength is the next highest after charisma. Only downside is that I'm quite squishy, so I dual wield shields and hope my followers can tank everything for me.

Mifu Priest, coming from elona, being able to buff my teammates is such a huge game changer for me
Pure wizard. Note that certain melees are strong even on pure wizards if they possess the "force" enchantment which I believe makes them scale with casting and magic device. I found a trident with force on it and the damage multiplier is like 3.0x and it hits nearly as hard as my dart spells

Wraith Sword Sage worshipping Horome. Wraith comes with mana body 2 which lets you use your mana bar as a 2nd health bar, but it also reduces all sources of mana consumption by 50% so you effectively have double your MP as health. Worshipping Horome lets all melee attacks leech mana (very good for sustain since mana is your hp), and her god weapon, Muramasa, leeches even more mana and deals nether damage, allowing you to also leech life. Sword sage lets you consume spell books to make talismans. Talismans let you "cast" spells 100% of the time as long as you can hit an enemy. Casting a spell this way does not consume mana (great since you want to sustain your mana since it is your 2nd hp bar) and levels the spell. It's great for bursts of damage but you cannot "reload" talismans while in combat since it takes multiple turns.

There is a lot more that can be optimized to be the tankiest murder hobo in the game.

Elean Farmer, Dream-related feats to lean heavily into spellcasting. Boomerang as a throwing weapon sidearm.

It's slow to start, but leans more into developing the home faster while still being able to cave faces in with the cane + companion for quests. It's not a bad start to the game (first playthrough)!

Well it seems I played as a weak one punch man.. I knew something was wrong when the log said "you PUNCHED ..."
I was brushing it off with "that's just translation.."
took me 16 hours to releazie that I also had to equip weapons, not just select them in my hotbar, and throw them sometimes because I press right click....

Well now that I know how to use a weapon the correct way, I want to play as a thief with short sword and bow.

I started out as a jure gunner, but guns are exceptionally hard to come by early on so I dropped it.

Then I played an Elean wizard worshiping the elemental god and scooped up dreamwalker feats ASAP, and now she gets free spells every night. I'll go clear out puppy cave occasionally to get stocked up on dart spells which are my bread and butter. Overall works pretty well, but does suffer from severe squishiness vs ranged attackers. I'll probably get heavy armor casting and start increasing my PV that way.

I think I kind of messed up the character by taking dream walker 3. You basically lose the free dart spells every night for a random assortment of possibly not very good higher level spells which are either very niche or lack raw killing power. Fortunately at this point I already unlocked the mage guild, so I'm hoping there is a way to target farm the dart spell books I need through them.

Using little girl pet equipped as a tank, but recently had a huge setback when an acid monster melted literally all of her equipment including the artifact hammer she had, after I teleported away and got trapped in the water.

I think I need more followers to be honest.

Overall caster seems really good, you can create a 'bump monster' follower easily instead of doing it yourself. Followers also create their own ammo out of thin air, so they make good shooters also.

Protip: make a 'cane' straight away. Go to the beach tiles east of your starting point and harvest sea shells for fragments. Make nails out of bones.

Im not sure how to feel about this game overall. In all honesty I can just go back and play elona+ for the parts I like. The base building doesn't attract me and is really annoying IMO. This game is too 'rippy'

Nefu farmer martial artist wearing a shield and casting spells while hiding behind my pets. I'm not great at the game, so I just want a simple way to survive while I'm still weak, and not rely on any gear if possible.

If it's like in Elona, there should be a vendor in the guild that allow you to commision a list of spells you know, and he will only stockpile thoses. Invest in him and you'll get several pages of the books you need
