please explain how the warehouses and deliveries work?

so I've been noticing my wood cutters are constantly saying they're having slow deliveries. but I dont quite understand how I should increase the amount of warehouses.

from what I can gather is that 1 warehouse only has 1 delivery guy. so you can only have 1 guy go get stuff from a factory and bring it to the warehouse. but if you get items, you can increase it by having items that give simultaneous deliveries. thus increasing the amount of people in that warehouse to gather the deliveries.

so is the way I am thinking is correct then? and if so, how many factories can a warehouse support before I have to make additional warehouses in the same area?

10 maybe? But the real solution is to purchase upgrades from the train station which boost the # of deliveries the warehouse can make, rather than building lots of warehouses.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the distance from the production building to the nearest warehouse can have an impact, especially when you're using the first tier of roads. As you get faster roads, the impact of distance on delivery time decreases significantly.
