the saleswoman head still seems to be alive on an island you can't reach and she seems to be selling stuff to the these diamond square dudes. The blocks most likely only affect ena, there is 2 possible explanations as to why only ena gets blocked. She's an npc while other entities are more real or she's a part of environment thus gets affected by environmental changes
