Half formed theory I haven't seen anyone else talk about
Spoilers! Don't look unless you've played all of the game!

When talking to the shopkeeper ENA insists that she's not doing what everyone says she's doing, meanwhile bullet after bullet are being dropped around her, as if to say a large number of actions are blamed on her, like A LOT OF ACTIONS.

In Temptation Stairway, the Russian speaking entity says "another ENA troublemaker" so all ENAs are seemingly receiving this blame, being some sort of scapegoat. Not once do we see the first ENA (blue/yellow) cause trouble, and yet they're known by everyone as an entity to be kept at arm's reach.

When we are at the drydock (desert world after opening lonely door) we can talk to an entity with mental issues, who speaks internet ">:OO" and pranks us with the quote "Entities like you are punished for the sins of others". Instead of being angry and using her angry side like she has liberally done with anyone that remotely made her upset, she uses her salesman side to softly make an excuse. The concept art version of herself has nothing to do with it as that was kept in because JG thought it was funny to have that there. I feel that her reaction to this info is telling; this is her reality right here.

In the end when we get stuck in a weird, bland version of the drydock world, we become covered in these weird polygon shapes until we are stuck. Trying to escape, ENA's personas escape into the code or whatever, but something grabs us from the code and throws us into an empty husk person that we'd created by our escape.

First off, these husks, we don't know where they come from or why they exist, but we've never before seen their origin until now during the credits were we try to escape so hard we leave our body behind or something, to leave into code. ENA is the most humanoid in shape compared to pretty much any other entity and is a clear source of these husks, and seeing as these husks are also just as humanoid as ENA, one could argue these are all ENAs that previously existed.

Secondly, a hand of something we can't recognize prevented ENA from assimilating into code, leaving a husk behind. Could this be something with the power to both place blame on ENAs for multiple bad things as well as make sure they stick around taking the hit?

I'm pretty sure the hand that grabbed her in the end was the vampire.

İn the end of the game she comes back into one of the husks in the beging (lying near the wall behind dracula guy) so maybe she uses these husks to respawn?

The hand that grabbed her Husk at the end looked a lot like Ena's right hand to me, but a different color. Not sure if it actually is hers though.

"a hand of something we can't recognize prevented ENA from assimilating into code" In some religious fiction or media I came across, after death your soul ( in-game are "empty husk person") will assimilate with the source of life, often depicted similar to the scene with the bottom of the code, at the end of light reside. This is more believable because it was stated that all of these souls has no differences (or nearly completely identical), so they all appear as empty humanoid, maybe or maybe not that these husks are exclusively ENA. In dream BBQ she doesn't just figuratively rebirth through the core (embryo) or getting eaten, here she is brought back to life by this unknown entity by grabbing her (maybe soul) to "rebirth" her, or more correctly bring her back to life, like some prophets performed miracle to bring someone's soul back to their lifeless body.
ive got a little theory that the ENA species is actually just player driven characters, it makes sense when you think about all the blame our ENA(and the webseries one) takes despite not doing anything that would result in such bad fame, since some players might be messing with things or pusposely being evil. the many mannequins however are a bit of a mistery to me, i think they might either be "failures" (players that somehow got corrupted like in the ending cutscene) or ENAs that are not currently being controlled.

our salesman ENA seems to have a lot of religious symbolism and probably holds some importance in the story of this world, which is probably why we are abducted after failing and returned back to the hub island to "respawn" in place of one of the mannequins, which is why i lean towards my claim of the mannequins either being dead/failed ENAs or just bodies not currently being used by an ENA (which would be the player)

chapter 2 will probably make me throw all of this out the window maybe.

the trailers seem to have some pretty important little details, you might want to check them out incase you want to flesh-out that theory you got there
