so, is DBBQ Ena the same as blue/yellow Ena? [mega spoilers]
Going into the game, I thought they would be separate characters but the more i played, the more I began to suspect that they're one and the same. Here's a few things which i think indicate that they're the same entity:

1. When talking to the witches, one of them references something Ena said in Temptation Stairway. Given how well known and widely disliked Ena seems to be, it read to me like targeted mockery.

2. During the Purge Event, there's a room with an open door which leads into the hallways from Extinction Party. On it's own, this wouldn't mean much other than suggesting that the Purge Event and Extinction Party are linked or the same thing. However, I recalled that if you talk to one of the Pants Dudes outside the big ear, he'll tell Ena that she needs a strong mind for the Purge Event and asks "When will you learn, old lady?". To me, this implies that DBBQ Ena has been there before. possibly as the blue/yellow Ena during Extinction Party.

3. When talking to the Bathroom Genie, one of the aspirations you can choose is "the punishment of the moon". it's too early to say with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure this is referencing Moony.

4. If you call the Auctioneer, he'll say "we don't do returns" and that Ena "spent a lot of cash on something that's practically everywhere". This is presumably referring to the Hourglass Dogs, and the Hourglass Dog that Ena acquired back in the Auction Day episode.

5. Despite how renowned and unpopular Ena is, most characters don't immediately recognize her, including characters like the Suspicious Man and the Bathroom Genie who seem to know the most about Ena. it would make sense if Ena has changed her appearance since gaining all that notoriety. This is probably a reach, though.

I know that it's implied that Ena is some sort of species because of the Shephard's dialogue. I always took that to mean that there are multiple instances of Ena, but that they're all the same entity and only one exists at a time. Given that most of the web series is presented as though it were a game, I assumed that the apparent multiple Enas are just the multiple players that control Ena at different times.
i think this checks out if you consider the Shaman. He exists through multiple copies of himself, but all these copies seem to have the same memories, same stream of consciousness, as well as the understanding that only one of them can exist at a time. maybe Ena operates in a similar fashion, and that's why they "understand eachother".

but i might be hallucinating on all this, hah. i just want to figure out if they're the same so i can know to what degree the web series' lore can be taken into account. it's too early to say, for sure, but it's fun to speculate.

I think that Ena can have multiple bodies at the same time like the Shaman. Also, she says "It's not enough for this many bodies." during the part where she sees the giant bathroom.
wow
its implied by the shepherd in temptation stairway that there are multiple enas in this world. which would also explain how some people might know who one ena is and mistake another for being the same, or why people in universe keep mispronouncing their name, because they get confused on which ena is which because they're all named ena. sincerest apologies for rambling on about this
When you complete the first chapter, ENA doesn't make it through the Lonely Door and turns into a mannequin while she floats through a void. When we see her again, she's transforming back from mannequin form to her usual form in the Hub area. Based on the scene's angle though, it looked like she was just inhabiting the mannequin I had remembered seeing in her position earlier. It made me think she didn't transport in any normal means - I think ENA is one entity that can inhabit any mannequin, like a parasite or glitch or something. The Mannequins, unlike other entities, seem unable to really communicate with our ENA or seemingly anyone. It would make sense to me if they're the same, though I wonder how we got from one personality split to this new one.

you're right, the mannequin she emerges from at the end of chapter 1 is the same one we see in the hub at the beginning of the game. I've heard a theory similar to this before, where ENA is somehow linked to the mannequins which leads to other characters thinking that there are multiple ENAs. it makes sense to me.
Actually, one thing i noticed related to the mannequins: sometimes one of the mannequins across the bridge in Lonely World will be dancing like a ballerina, and the movements seem to mimic that weird Spatula Headed Ballerina we see in the trailer and during the conversation with the Bathroom Genie. it seems like the ballerina has some significance to ENA, and that they might also be related to the mannequins somehow.

i have no idea, but it wouldn't be out of character given how often ENA changes form or personality (like when she's drunk at the end of Extinction Party). maybe her different forms can change based on her current life situation. like, now that she has a job, her personalities change to better suit that.

I don't think the Shaman can only exist once at a time. IIRC, his exact words are "a magician does not have to exist in two places at once" (emphasis mine). This implies that existing in two places at once, presumably as separate consciousnesses/memories/etc, is the natural state of the Shaman and Ena (and possibly everyone?), and being able to be above this whole system and control it is a special ability he has as a magician. We do see Ena respawning in a mannequin, but we don't see the same level of control as a magician to the point where she can create and destroy copies of herself at will.
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I see it thus far.

that's an interesting idea, and it makes sense to me.

with the mannequins, I don't think ENA has any level of control over them, but rather that the mannequins are different versions of her from different times in the past. in the broken Genie route when she tells ENA to touch her memories, the Genie says something like "let me show you a version of yourself that achieved your aspirations". running with the theory that the multiple ENAs and mannequins are actually different players, that different version of ENA would be a player that didn't fall into the white river, but instead crossed it and reached the giant bathroom.
