Blink and You'll Miss It achievement ...should get a rework
I believe the Blink and You'll Miss it achievement in it's current state is not the most fun achievement to grind, considering it is a 100% RNG event that can happen at any point in the game. I feel like a better implementation is to make it similar to the Bad Samaritan achievement, maybe make it to where you have to wait in the room with the Smoke Machine until ENA blinks. This would make the achievement way more consistent to grind for and less like waiting for a lighting bolt to strike at pure random.

You can actually fix this by doing pseudorandom chance, where for every time it fails to happen, the odds of it happening increase. It's a pretty common piece of code in games, shouldn't be hard to find how to do it in this engine.
I've had the achievement a while and now I just think it's kinda fun to catch the animstion when it happens randomly.

i literally got it in the first area you go into at the start
got it randomly while playing, maybe just dont grind for achievments, its not like you will die or something if you dont get em all
or use steam achievement manager to get ones that are entirely based off of luck? i mean its not like anyones gonna get on you for that
Looks like our ENAs can't blink lol... 18.1 hours already:salt:
They should make it a 100% chance to blink every half second, then it will be much easier to get the achievement, and the speedrunners will rejoice.
I am 24.6 hours into game playing time and she still hasn't blinked for me. I'm SO desperate for her to blink, this is my LAST achievement I need.
Since there's going to be multiple chapters, it'll probably be reasonable people will come across it by chance before beating the entire game

The best way to get the achievement is to leave the game running for a few hours while you're afk. Make sure the game is unpaused and that ENA is not talking to an NPC.
Yeah, this is ridiculous. It's basically "just stand still for an unknown amount of hours", which is among the worst things to lock an achievement behind.
I feel like its important to note that this IS only the first chapter of the game so far. As more chapters come out, your total playtime will go up, so there'll be more chances to get it.
I would l want to suggest some kind of failsafe, where if your savefile has more the a certain amount of time in it without the event triggering, the chance should start going up until its guaranteed to trigger, but it seems like it's supposed to feel like a super rare one-off thing, so it should take longer then 2 hours so you don't just get it in the first chapter, (it wouldn't feel like a cool rare Easter Egg if everyone got it on accident now would it?), but we don't know how long all the the other chapters will be, or even how many of them we'll get anyway. Maybe after all the chapters come out, 100%ing the game will just take so long that you end up getting the achievement naturally.
This is dumb am waiting so much its the last achivement i need
got it as soon as i reached the core bridge for the first time
its just rng doesnt matter where you are could be giga lucky and get it at the start of the game could be unlucky and spend 10+ hours afk

womp womp.
not sure if today's update fixed this, but I stand really close and stared at the "white river" then Alt+Tab do other things. then i got it.

+1
stare the river can trigger that strange visual effect = eyestrain = make Ena blink :steamhappy:
