Symbols hidden at Hub World

Hey i was just exploring around trying to find hidden areas and i noticed these symbols hidden on the backs of the little islands surrounding the hub world. Just curious if anyone has figured out what they mean yet?

the one made up of straight lines looks like the same material as the ship in uncanny valley, especially like the ship you get teleported to from the bathroom

No clue about the golden one though

i just looked again and the metal changed shape and texture in a later playthrough, although the gold one did not

How many symbols did you find ? I think I only so two and none were "gold".

I found that one too but I don't know if it's part of an ARG.

Some observations: while playing parallel with a friend, we noticed that we had different symbols. I remembered my first save having a different symbol, so I had my friend try changing to Save Slot 2 (where I was playing). This did not change the symbol for them. My best guess is that it's done randomly as a way to show players what dicerolls they got (think 'what Undertale Fun value did I roll'

I think if this is even remotely tied to a puzzle or an ARG, we should start cataloging all of the symbols we discover here. Just in case theres any possible meaning behind them, and so we can kinda gauge just how many there might be

did the symbol textures or anything had a name or something ?

Also, do the texture on these symbols looks like areas in the game ?
Maybe each symbols are a cut out from a screen of a place in the game ?? (really don't have any idea what is going on with these symbols so i'm saying whatever i can think of)

I did some naughty snooping and found that the symbols are determined by a "hardware hash" which means they are randomized per-computer. They contain no other functions.

Odd. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but that sounds like people should only get one symbol on the rocks per computer. I, however, have gotten different symbols each time I've made/overwritten a save file. Am I misunderstanding?

one of the rocks should stay the same but the other changes im pretty sure

Double checked and you're right. The one on the larger rock says "Hash Type: Save File" and the smaller rock says "Hash Type: Hardware."

Again, they have no other scripts or functions. Just a randomizer that chooses from 10 symbols.

Got a save where i have both symbols being the same (the 7th looking like a j)
