Has anyone got the sick tricks archievent yet and tips?
Idk if it's just skill issue but I've been struggling to 100% the game mainly because of this one archievent. I did retry multiple times loading the same backup but the issue is I don't really know how to control my jumps or somehow slip out of the bamboo platforms and fall into the river.
Is it any easier with/without sprinting? How do y'all deal with the dizzy double vision that constantly moves?

Edit:
Guys I finally got it! :D
I discovered that pausing the game makes the nausea effect dissapear and only the real rafts are visible

Edit 2:
I'll compile some of the already mentioned tips in the comments just so people can read it from the post itself, thank you all for your tips and help, especially Assbepis, Pink Shades, MorphiGalaxy, Whipped Cream, katzrkool and Action Gooseman

The files are located in:
User > AppData > LocalLow > JoelG > ENA-4-DreamBBQ > saves > steam
You can search for that app data in windows by pressing the windows button + R
The saves can be duplicated and renamed from 0 to 2

Now tips for the parkour itself:
-You can change sprint from toggle to hold and also either turn on or off sprint on stop if it helps you
-The nausea filter comes in waves and moves the mouse, (quoted from katzrkool) the river will start disappearing while a second river fades in that will move around your screen, Both rivers alternate disappearing and reappearing. It’s easy to tell which raft is real because only the second fake river moves up and down while the real one doesn’t move at all. Try to keep your mouse as still as you can because it makes the original river look like it’s moving. Look down the river and figure out which rafts are real then while Ignoring the second image wait for the real raft to be near you and jump. The jumps are simple if you can figure out the nausea.
-If you pause the game the real raft's outline is visible and the filter is completely gone
-(quoted from Action Gooseman) The rafts alternate directions
Some have variable distances, some jumps are shorter than others. I found I needed to stop myself short on the 4th and 6th boats. On rafts 4 and 6, you have more leeway aiming for them long-ways than straight and horizontally because of how much shorter the gap is. You get used to the massive gaps from 1-3 that 4 and 6 become the pain points despite being easier on paper.
-It's possible to alt+f4 before the game autosaves if you do it extremely quick when you fall down

hey im stuck on the same achievment. can i ask how you backed up the save file? whatever i do doesnt seem to work for some reason. i suck at parkour so the nausea filter doeasnt help lmao. ive given up for the night but itd really help if i actually had a way of replaying the section without getting the taxi drivers heads every time lol

The visual distortion comes in waves, so if you've lost track of which platform is real just give it a second to calm down and you can figure out the right one, also i sprint jumped all of them.
So this river is actually impossible to cross without a certain item you get from the Shaman wizard guy, get that first!
If it helps, the main thing for me was going into the control settings and setting Sprint from being a toggle to a hold. I undershot a jump in the first two attempts because of the default settings combined having the player walk again from a stop. After that, it wasn't too bad.

you can jump over it yourself, im pretty sure you need to do it without the shaman item to get the achievement

The save file backup trick didn't work for me at first, admittedly I ended up doing it without the trick lmao! But I did figure out how it works. Basically, start up ENA Dream BBQ and delete all saves so you only have one, preferably at the start of the Core (room with the rafts). go into your App Data (may be marked as hidden at first) and find the ENA under JoelG in LocalLow, there should be a "saves" folder. Copy the save (it can be 0, 1, or 2) and duplicate it. Rename the copies to have the same title but change the number to correspond to the three options I listed in brackets. After that, boot up the game and you should have three copies of your save! For some reason it wouldn't work for me unless I deleted a save slot *before* replacing it. Anyways, I hope that helps! And good luck with the achievement.

i tried savescumming for like 2 hours and wasn't able to do it, its like the 4th platform is so out of reach, it looks so distant. i'll try again today with your tips guys but the fact that i have to alt-f4 and replace the file every time because someone decided to put an autosave as soon as you fall in the river is pure evil.
(yes i always struggled with jumping puzzles, yes skill issue yada yada but C'MON.)

EDIT; FINALLY DONE IT. thanks to Pink Shades, removing the sprint toggle worked, after 5 attempts i was able to get it. im freeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I'll try again with Assbepis' and Pink Shades' tips and see how it goes, thanks for the tips guys :)

Edit:
I just discovered that pausing the game kind of disables the nausea filter
Still trying to cross the river and failing tho

Edit 2: Finally got it!!!

dude i could kiss you right now oh my GOD. that did the trick!
While you have the nausea effect your mouse will move around and the river will start disappearing while a second river fades in that will move around your screen, Both rivers alternate disappearing and reappearing. Took me like half an hour, the worst part about it was the save manipulation and having to wait for the cutscenes to go for the attempts. Very irritating to get.
Would setting the savegame folder as "read-only" between attempts work?

My second play-through's attempts were ruined by that instant auto-save that happens if you fall into the river. I agree that it's needlessly harsh how the save system can lock you into a course of action. Custom save points would have been a tremendous relief.
If you don't want to alter game files or for some reason cant, if you alt+f4 really quickly when you fall, and i mean REALLY quickly, you'll reset before the autosave kicks on, and it'll keep your save loaded at the Core. Was the only way I could get the achievement myself :3
FYI to anyone who DOESN'T want to restart and get the TAXI HEADS again. You can just go to the Bridge Hoarder and when you speak to him DON'T revive him. You will be sitting there for 7 mins but it will just kill him and then you can go past the bridge. :ridden_thumbsup:
