(yes i always struggled with jumping puzzles, yes skill issue yada yada but C'MON.)
EDIT; FINALLY DONE IT. thanks to Pink Shades, removing the sprint toggle worked, after 5 attempts i was able to get it. im freeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Edit:
I just discovered that pausing the game kind of disables the nausea filter
Still trying to cross the river and failing tho
Edit 2: Finally got it!!!
dude i could kiss you right now oh my GOD. that did the trick!
Some have variable distances, some jumps are shorter than others. I found I needed to stop myself short on the 4th and 6th boats. On rafts 4 and 6, you have more leeway aiming for them long-ways than straight and horizontally because of how much shorter the gap is. You get used to the massive gaps from 1-3 that 4 and 6 become the pain points despite being easier on paper.
Took me like half an hour, the worst part about it was the save manipulation and having to wait for the cutscenes to go for the attempts. Very irritating to get.
My second play-through's attempts were ruined by that instant auto-save that happens if you fall into the river. I agree that it's needlessly harsh how the save system can lock you into a course of action. Custom save points would have been a tremendous relief.
